Healthy Turkey Taco Lettuce Wraps

These 15 minute Turkey Taco Lettuce Wraps made with ground turkey are full of flavor from a quick homemade taco seasoning seasoned with just enough spice. Piled high in crunchy lettuce with all your favorite toppings, these are a light and healthy dinner everyone loves.
Whenever I am eating lower carb, I feel like I am sticking anything I can into lettuce wraps. Burgers, deli meat, leftover chicken, anything really - it's a perfect vehicle for so many dishes. At the top of that list, are these Turkey Taco Lettuce Wraps.
They are packed with flavor from all the spices, quick and easy to make, and a meal that the whole family devours.

Prep Time: 5 minutes; Cook Time: 15 minutes; Total Time: 20 minutes
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup onion, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1.33 lbs 99% lean ground turkey
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 14 oz canned diced tomatoes, drained (Rotel for spicier, recommended)
- 1 head butter lettuce (or Romaine)
Directions
- Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Add the onions and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes until beginning to become tender. Add the ground turkey. Cook, breaking it up as it cooks, until no longer pink. Add taco seasoning and diced tomatoes. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-5 minutes, as the sauce thickens. If needed you can add cornstarch, flour, or coconut flour to thicken up the sauce.
- Divide the turkey mixture among the lettuce leaves. Top with all your favorite toppings.
