It’s A Wrap! A Quick Glance At Our 2022 ObesityHelp National Conference!
October 24, 2022The 2022 ObesityHelp National Conference is in the books now, and we’ve had a chance to reflect on what we were honored to experience and enjoy after a few years of such hard times for the entire world. Please know that each and every one of you who participated, whether as an individual attendee, a speaker, a sponsor, an exhibitor or a volunteer, we appreciate you greatly and will hold you in our hearts. You helped make this conference possible and also one to remember.
Friday at the 2022 ObesityHelp National Conference
Friday morning started out with some light exercises, visiting exhibitor booths, and quite a bit of swag! Then it was on to the much anticipated Mix n Mingle sponsored by VIDA Wellness and Beauty. We enjoyed being reminded of the long history of their company and also of the many years they have supported OH and the entire community with their multifaceted services. Attendees had the opportunity to see old friends, meet new ones, and to connect on many levels. Many hugs and laughs were shared! Throughout the day, conference attendees took part in plastic surgery consultations, a Q&A hosted by nationally recognized, board- certified plastic surgeons, and educational, entertaining sessions were held led by leading professionals and inspiring WLS post-ops.
Moving on to Friday night, there were many moments that made us laugh during the PatchMD sponsored Meet and Greet Costume Party. There was a break-dancing T-Rex, plus sharks and flamingos, sea creatures and many others that reminded us how fun it can be to don a costume and shake it on the dance floor. The costume party at OH events is alive and well! Prizes were given away for costume categories, and everyone had the chance to drag their friends and new acquaintances into the photo booth to snap away so the memories can be shared for years to come!
Saturday's Festivities
Saturday opened with some fun low-impact fitness, more exhibitor visits, and was jam-packed with great and informative sessions including a Gut Health panel and a Patient Q&A panel where attendees were able to ask questions and learn from post-ops about new habits and how to Navigate the Post-Op Weight Loss Journey.
Saturday night was the Premier Protein®️ sponsored Fashion Show and Closing Party, and it didn’t take long for the tears to come to our eyes upon seeing those who elected to walk the runway, strike a pose, and celebrate their successes. For many, the past several years have been very stressful and hard to deal with both physically and emotionally, and it took courage for many of our attendees to make the effort to join us, let alone get up on stage! We applaud and appreciate all of you and hope you will attend again in the future.
