There will be free private one-on-one plastic surgery consultations available to the 2022 ObesityHelp National Conference attendees on both Friday, September 30th and Saturday, October 1st. Consultations are done in a private room with the surgeon, so you can openly discuss your questions and concerns regarding excess skin after massive weight loss.
If you'd like to schedule a consultation, make sure you sign-up right away because the appointments are filling up fast and there are a limited number of consults available. Consultations are available with Dr. Carlos Castaneda, Dr. J. Timothy Katzen, Dr. Jaime S. Schwartz. You may sign-up for a consultation with more than one surgeon!

This important session is for all OH2022 attendees at any stage of their weight loss journeys. Whether you are pre-op, post-op, or opting for medical weight loss, you can find answers to any questions you may have with this amazing panel of highly-skilled, board-certified Plastic Surgeons, all specializing in body contouring and reconstructive surgery!
After weight loss, having excess skin can cause issues with daily hygiene, skin irritations, and infections. You might also have difficulties participating in activities that you love or finding clothes to fit right. Those same problems might also be affecting your self-confidence or self-esteem. We are excited to share with you that we have assembled an amazing panel of highly-skilled, board-certified Plastic Surgeons, all specializing in body contouring and reconstructive surgery and they will be on board to answer your questions about Plastic Surgery after weight loss at OH2022 on Friday at 9:30am. This will be an interactive session, staff will bring the microphone to the audience so you can stand at your seat to ask your question of the panelist of your choice. The moderator and conference staff will help keep the Q&A moving so that we can try and get in as many questions as possible during the allotted time.

Carlos Castaneda, MD is board-certified by the Mexican Council of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. He specializes in body contouring and body reconstruction after massive weight loss. J. Timothy Katzen, MD, FACS is a board-certified plastic surgeon who has made plastic surgery after massive weight loss the main focus of his practice. He has independently created novel and innovative reconstructive plastic surgery techniques that minimize scars and maximize skin and fat removal. Dr. Katzen has performed thousands of post weight loss procedures.
Approximately 99% of Dr. Katzen’s reconstructive surgery patients have lost 100+ pounds. He has operated on patients who weighed over 800 pounds before bariatric surgery. Dr. Katzen has performed plastic surgery after massive weight loss on men and women, from ages 18 to 70.

Q&A Panelist: Dr. Jaime Schwartz
Jaime S. Schwartz, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon who dedicates himself to creating national policies and procedures aimed at enhancing safety and awareness for both patients and physicians especially for those undergoing plastic surgery after massive weight loss. Dr. Schwartz was recruited to California as the Chief of Plastic Surgery for a large hospital system where he was tasked with creating a plastic surgery department with a focus on patients that have undergone gastric bypass.
Dr. Schwartz has developed techniques aimed at better outcomes in breast and body contouring known as Breast LipoLift® and Body LipoLift®. These techniques are part of Schwartz Rapid Recuperation™ which is focused on more gentle anesthesia, minimizing pain and pain medications, and getting back to normal daily life in a shorter time frame.
