You can use it like that, but its real purpose is to be served with your cooked steaks. This is the best way to enjoy a great chimichurri sauce and steak without ruining any of the flavors of each!
The chimichurri sauce comes together quickly in the food processor and tastes great on a sirloin steak. Made from just a few pantry ingredients like red wine vinegar, garlic, extra-virgin olive oil, and salt and pepper—plus some fresh herbs—this bright-green sauce from Argentina has an amazing depth of flavor and is absolutely delicious!
Petite Sirloin Steak With Chimichurri Sauce

Ingredients
- 4 petite sirloin steaks (4 oz. each)
- 1/8 cup coarsely chopped parsley
- 1 tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 shallot, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
- 1 jalapeno
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
Directions
- Salt and pepper your steak.
- Grill or sauté in a pan until it has reached your preferred doneness.
- In a food processor, combine the parsley, cilantro, vinegar, garlic, jalapeno, salt, and pepper. Process until smooth.
- Mix the olive oil in and let stand for at least 20 minutes.
- Serve the sauce over the sliced meat.
