OH2017 Meet & Greet Costume Party: Pics, Prizes, and Fun
December 8, 2017On Friday nights at the ObesityHelp National Conferences, we always love to have time dedicated to community togetherness. We do this by hosting a Meet & Greet! The Meet & Greet is the perfect place to unwind from the busy day of back-to-back speaker sessions. Attendees can pull up a chair and hang-out with new and old friends. Or they can get out on the dance floor, and dance with each other like no one is watching. It is always a blast; we love this special time of community, celebration, and memories being made.
This year's OH2017 Meet & Greet was a Costume Party. Huge thanks go out to A Lighter Me as the Platinum Sponsor of the #OH2017 Meet & Greet Costume Party, this is their 4th year in a row as a Platinum Sponsor! During the Costume Party, there was a Costume Contest, Pixel Photo Booth, and a dance floor with a DJ.
The Emcee of the conference, Diana M. Vogel, MS, LMFT, outdid herself this year dressed as a character from The Game of Thrones, Daenerys Targaryen (Mother of Dragons). Her husband, Dan, dressed as Khal Drogo, and they even brought along a fantastic dragon skeleton. There were so many amazing costumes! We saw a Cereal Killer, Rosie the Riveter, Pac-Man & a Ghost, Astronaut Captain Bud Tocks, and so many more fun costumes.

OH2017 Costume Party Contest
This year’s Meet & Greet also had a Costume Contest! People let their imaginations run wild; we loved all of the amazing costumes. The five categories for this year were Funniest Costume, Scariest Costume, Best Bariatric Related Costume, Most Creative Homemade Costume, and the Best Group Costume.
This year there were $450 in gift cards for the costume contest winners, these awesome prizes were made possible through Platinum Sponsor, A Lighter Me.

The fun and prizes kept going thanks to A Lighter Me with three giveaways of $2000 dollars worth of Gift Certificates. The certificates can be used as a credit for any A Lighter Me services, including bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, or dental. Winners had to be present to win.
During the costume party, Zach Johnston the General Manager of A Lighter Me, drew the names of three Gift Certificate winners! Then on Saturday, they also held two drawings. One was for a Cruise for Two and the other was a FREE Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy surgery!
