The year was 1998 and the concept of "social networking" was merely conversing with friends on online message boards. As a pioneer and pace-setter, ObesityHelp’s social community was launched making OH one of the first recorded social networks on the internet! Our founder, Eric Klein, had a vision to create an online community based on peer support that would provide education and comfort for those suffering from obesity. For the past 15 years, ObesityHelp has grown from 200 registered members in 1998, to over 700,000 in 2013. Today OH remains the premier resource for bariatric patients, friends and family supporters, and professionals.

ObesityHelp is a 100% free service to patients. Free services include profile, message boards, educational content, and our own food and health tracker.
