In Loving Memory of Dr. Alberto Aceves

It is with a very heavy heart and deep sadness that we share with you that the world and the OH Community has lost a dedicated, caring, and wonderful bariatric surgeon and friend. Last evening, Dr. Alberto Aceves was traveling from San Luis Gonzaga to Mexicali when his plane crashed into the sea south of San Felipe. Dr. Aceves and two others did not survive.
Dr. Aceves was a long-time friend and sponsor of the OH Community. He believed in the fight against obesity and deeply cared about his patients and their well-being. The OH Community is grateful to him for his dedication to helping to save and change countless lives.
Dr. Aceves always had a hug to offer and a warm smile to match. We will remember him fondly and miss him greatly. He was a true friend to the OH Team and we will always treasure our life moments with him.
We will be working with Dr. Aceves' office and family to keep you apprised on any patient reunion and practice information adjustments, as well as where you can send condolences.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, patients and staff members. We are thinking of you all during this difficult time.
