In Loving Memory of Cameron Hodges, MD
October 11, 2017The ObesityHelp Team is deeply saddened to share with the OH community that our friend and patient advocate, Cameron Hodges, MD, passed away on September 25, 2017. He was 46 years old.
Dr. Hodges was loved and cherished by the love of his life, Geralyn Schell Hodges, his four children, Ryan, Grace, Luke, and Caleb as well as many other family members, friends, patients, and colleagues. A well-respected and talented surgeon, after years as a surgeon in Missouri and Iowa, Dr. Hodges had a passion for saving and changing lives that led him to Amarillo, Texas where he opened Hodges Weight Loss and Advanced Surgery in 2012.

Dr. Hodges will be remembered as a skilled, caring, and compassionate surgeon who was dedicated to helping others reshape their lives. He was known for his love of his family, his warm smile, his sense of humor and for always giving that personal touch to each and every patient, a trait he learned from watching his grandfather make rounds when he was just a young boy. Dr. Hodges took the time to listen to the stories of his patients' lives and he truly cared about their life journeys. His dedication to the fight against obesity and the impact he had on so many lives will forever be treasured.
