The ObesityHelp.com community was founded in 1998 to provide support, education, and advocacy for all individuals seeking help in the fight against obesity. This great community was built by a lot of hard work behind the scenes... but mostly, it was built by a lot of hard work on the part of the ObesityHelp.com community members. That hard work has included offering support to others, the sharing of WLS experiences and insights, volunteering at events and in various support forums, becoming support group leaders, and working the program/your tool for weight loss success. Each time a member of the community posts on the message boards, blogs about their WLS experiences, shares a review of a bariatric or plastic surgery professional, or rates bariatric friendly products, they are helping to pave the road for journeys to come.
Over the years, ObesityHelp.com has had many "face lifts". What started out as a very simple and plain home page with seven options in 1998 transformed into the world's largest online peer-to-peer support community dedicated to the disease of obesity.
In celebration of ObesityHelp.com's 16th birthday, we thought you would enjoy looking back at a few of the web changes we've made along the way. This video is a blast from the past that will take many of you down memory lane and introduce still countless others to a little history in the making.
