Dr. Alvarez And His Mom: One Week Post-op!

Below is the transcript and video of their one week post-op update. The OH team will be following and posting their video updates and sharing them with you.
Transcript:
Dr. Alvarez: Hello everyone, I am Dr. Alvarez and I am here with a very special patient. I am here with my Mom. We gave her the gastric sleeve last week and we want to do a playlist so that you the patient or the person that is doing some investigative research on the sleeve, can actually submit your questions to our YouTube channel. I can answer them directly or you can ask my Mom the questions you're interested in while she's going through the journey. Now, she used to have a Lap-Band that was placed back in 2007. So her surgery is a revision from a band to a sleeve which was done last week. So we are exactly one week post-op. Mom, how do you feel? How have you felt for these first seven days?
Mom: I feel great. I am looking forward to my next step. That's the full liquid diet. I haven't been feeling that much hunger at all. I even drive and everything. Yes, I am doing great.
Dr. Alvarez: So your doing your chores. Very good for you. How about the hunger? Any hunger these first few days?
Mom: As long as you do what you are supposed to do... that's sip, sip, sip, sip-everything is great! You can handle it.
Dr. Alvarez: How about the weight loss? Do you want to tell the users?
Mom: Oh yes, I am so excited! I have lost thirteen pounds!
Dr. Alvarez: So my Mom has lost thirteen pounds since the pre-op diet. Correct? My Mom started with a pre-op diet with liquids prior to surgery so it's thirteen pounds since then. Very good.
Mom: Yes.
