July 25, 2013Meet Dietitian Mary Wight
Mary Wight, RD, is a registered dietitian working with patients in the field of weight management at Olde Del Mar Surgical and the XiMED Center for Surgical and Medical Weight Management. She completed her degree in Nutrition Science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and also holds a degree in Communication from Arizona State University.
She has experience working with patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings with multiple disease states (Diabetes, Heart Disease, Kidney Disease), as well as eating disorders and behavioral health. She has been a featured guest on local radio discussing post bariatric success as well as speaking engagements addressing healthy lifestyles as it affects our nation’s youth. She enjoys motivating people to make lasting lifestyle changes by providing medically and scientifically driven nutrition knowledge.
Her empathy and understanding to the challenges of weight management help put her patients at ease during this important journey to better health.
