Celebrating the Life and Work of Holly Clegg
December 19, 2019It is with heavy hearts that the ObesityHelp team shares that our dear friend and best-selling cookbook author, Holly Clegg, has passed away.
We are celebrating the life and work of Holly Clegg, August 23, 1955 - November 1, 2019
As many of you may know, Holly was a long-time supporter of the ObesityHelp community through her many recipe contributions. She was passionate about the bariatric surgery community and loved sharing her recipes with us. She passed away from a long hard fight stomach cancer on November 1st. As a true educator with a passion for facts and research, she shared her Gastric Cancer Journey with her readers and along with her family, started the Holly Clegg Gastric Cancer Research Fund at MD Anderson Cancer Center with 100% of all funds going towards gastric cancer research.
Holly will be remembered as a developer of recipes that were geared towards quick and healthy meals for a busy family. Due to her high regard for the bariatric community, she also focused on the guidelines for bariatric surgery patients and anyone health-minded. Holly was known for her zest for life, sense of humor, and the personal commitment to creating recipes that people can enjoy. Her dedication to the health of everyone and the fight against obesity will always be remembered and appreciated.
Holly's team continues on with her legacy and created a video with some of her many appearances throughout the years. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Holly's family, friends, and #TeamHolly.
