My name is Gloria Joseph I have been a big girl my entire life and for the most part, I made it work for me. My weight prior to surgery was 375 pounds. When I realized that that's how much I weighed, a "quarter" from 400 pounds, I made the decision to have weight loss surgery. I am thankful to God that the job I have covers bariatric surgery. My surgery date was set for February 28, 2013. Well it finally came. For ten years I have been wanting this surgery.
No longer do I have to worry about not fitting in a seat at the doctors office, at the movies, or even on the airplane. I will no longer have to look for "hip friendly" seating! Lol! I stepped into this journey with the expectation of a better quality of life and in these six months my expectations are being met at a rate that not even I could have expected.
