My sister had an RNY about eight years ago and looks amazing. She told me that before her surgery she was prediabetic and is now completely healthy. It took me a long time and many years to figure out that I just could not lose my weight on my own either.

I started research on types of weight loss surgeries and places to have the surgery done. After month of research I made my decision and started the long process of getting ready for surgery.
A Special Milestone
I had my surgery the end of May and in mid-August, then I went to Europe for two weeks with my sisters. At that point, I knew what I could eat and what I needed to eat to keep my energy up and really focused on that during my trip. Because I was in Europe and I didn’t have access to an American scale, I had no idea how my weight loss was going. When I got back home, I was almost 30 pounds down from when I left. I did not realize how all the walking I did impacted my weight! It was the first time that I had weighed less than 200 pounds in over eight years!

Life totally sucked for me immediately after surgery. It was so bad that I was doing research on having mine reversed. I was not losing weight like I thought I should be, I was sick all the time and had no energy. It was during my reversal research that I found obesityhelp.com. After a few days I got comfortable enough to ask my first question and everyone was so helpful and happy to help. I am sharing my story because I want to help and inspire people like some many other members have inspired me.
