Before & After Gastric Sleeve (VSG) with Marjory
August 30, 2016Celebrating Marjory’s Journey Before & After Gastric Sleeve (VSG)!
My struggles with my weight started when I was 24. After years of dieting with some success followed by gaining all the weight back and then some, I ended up obese weighing 250 pounds, and my health started deteriorating, and I wasn’t able to function the way I was designed to. After careful consideration, I decided to undergo the Gastric Sleeve (VSG) weight loss surgery.
Before & After Gastric Sleeve (VSG)
Weight Loss Total: 131 pounds
Surgery Type: Gastric Sleeve (VSG)
Date of Surgery: 08/14/2012
Surgeon's Name: Dr. Guillermo Alvarez
Coming to the realization that I needed help wasn’t easy. However, I had to let go of my need to do it alone and accept the help of the Gastric Sleeve surgery tool.
I cannot tell you enough about the surgeon that I chose for my surgery. Dr. Alvarez performed my surgery in Piedras Negras, Mexico. Was I scared....No, because he happens to be an extraordinary surgeon. When I contacted his office and came in contact with his coordinator, Susan George, I knew I was in good hands. My surgical experience has been second to none since the very the beginning. I was confident in the care I received from Dr. Alvarez and his staff. They are as wonderful as everyone said they were. Words fall short to express what it is like to have had this experience with Dr. Guillermo Alvarez.
My life today is filled with gratitude. I am healthy, and that’s all I need. I work hard at taking care of my body, and I train five to six days a week. I eat healthy, and I stop when I feel satisfied not full, I don’t drink and eat, I eat 3 to 6 meals a day depending on my training.
Special Milestones/Non-Scale Victory
I have had too many to count!. Flying and being able to fit and not having to worry about having to get an aisle seat because of my obesity, being able to dance for hours without feeling tired, wearing a bathing suit, wearing a size 0-2 and xs.
