My weight topped out at 308lbs. I had a difficult time getting out of bed. I was out of breath all of the time. I could no longer take my dog around the block for walk. Not only that, I was starting to deal with major health issues that were becoming cumbersome.
My breaking point was when I realized that I was no longer able to take care of my own personal hygiene. I also realized that my time on earth was getting shorter and shorter. I had to do something and it needed to be done quickly.
Steven Dennis Pre-Op
I had the gastric bypass on 7/27/2011. In nine months I lost 190lbs. It was so fast, and so exciting at the same time.
My life now is spent living instead of dying. I am almost never home. I am always out riding my motorcycle, and actually enjoying time at the gym. I am now full of energy. My only regret is that I didn’t do this sooner. I feel like I wasted 20 years being miserable, when I could have been living free!
