Scripps Mercy Hospital (COE)

"They seemed very equipped. I did not encounter one negative person when I wet for my evaluations. I will have my surgery on May 2, 2002. I had appointments on 3 different floors. From the receptionists to the Doctors, I was treated with respect. They had chairs that did not have arms on them. They did not make you feel ashamed. No one gasped when you stepped on the scale. I never felt more comfortable at any hospital. "

Eugene Rumsey

"Dr. Eugene Rumsey at Pacific Bariatric Group was one of the nicest men I have ever met. He was very encouraging and explained what he was going to do during my surgery in detail. Everyone at the group was extremely sensitive to overweight people and very nice. I appreciated Dr. Rumsey being as detailed as he was. He asked me if I had any questions for him and did not seem rushed at all. He did emphasize what I would need to do in order for my surgery to work well. He did emphasize exercise/water. He went over every risk of surgery in detail. I would rate Dr. Rumsey a 10 in my book. In fact, the entire hospital staff was a 10!"
