Northern Westchester Hospital Surgical Weight Loss Program Hospital
my first impression of Dr. Roslin was "i like him" i felt comfortable in his presence and was impressed by his clientle which includes roseanne barr and carnie wilson. his staff was extremely courteous and cooperative, i have no negative impressions of him or his staff. i think that future patients should know that he is open, affable and professional. Dr. Roslin Stresses the importance of aftercare and has an aftercare program firmley in place. we discussed risks without belaboring the point. at this point, i will rate him at 8, we'll see what happens after the surgery on may 5th.
I met with Dr. Roslin and he is very nice. He is very patient and he answered all of my questions. I felt so relaxed with him. The staff at The IVOW Center is very nice they welcome you with open arms. I have no complints about them. They do have a structure aftercare center. They strongly stress going to the aftercare program. He express that it is very imperative that you follow his after care in struction. he emphasize that you most practice behavior modification that is is only a weight lost tool the rest is up to you. You have to work hard at it. Not to confused the as means to a end of the weight gain you have to work at it! from a scale of 1 to 10 he's a 10.
Both Surgical competence and bedside manner.
I first meet Dr. Roslin, back in late 2004. He was very pleasent and very nice. I felt very comfortable with him. He made me feel like I could do this and be better off for it. I had my surgery on Sept 19th, 05 an so happy I did. He made me comfortable when I met him in the Hospital. I was very nervous about the surgery and he put my mind at ease with his reassuring way. He staff have been nothing but great. They are very helpfull when you call with any questions or concerns. They call you back very quickly. He is very concerned about your after care and he makes himself available by phone or email when you go home. I would tell anyone thinking about having this surgery that you could not find a better Doctor that Dr. Roslin. The only thing I found is that his office is uptown and as I am from out of state, NJ, getting there for the follow up visits right after the surgery was hard traveling.
01.19.06 Saw Dr. Roslin today. I was very nervous before I went to see him. Even after taking a lot of time to make this decision, I still had doubts if I was doing the right thing. Well, he put me at ease right away. He is very professional and has so much confidence in what he can do for you, that you can't help but know you did the right thing and that this person is absolutely the right choice. He listens to all of your questions and concerns and addresses them.
He went over all of the benefits, and also all of the risks. He wants you to be informed about the decision you make. He is also very good at answering emails if you have any additional questions after you leave the office.
I am so thrilled to have Dr. Roslin as my surgeon. His office staff is wonderful as well. He is definitely a 10+!
Dr. Roslin is a life saver. He is a good man who tells it like it is, he does not sugar coat it he tells you what you need to do to be a happy healthy person. He is a great DR. and I would tell anyone looking for a doctor, that Dr. Roslin would be a great choice to help put your life on the winning track.
My first impression of Dr. Roslin was that he exuded confidence and had an aura of bravado about him. He came highly recommended and I felt extremely comfortable with him from the moment that I met him. Dr. Roslin is a no-nonsense guy altough we did bond somehwat since I used to represent the 1969 Mets and he was able to name each member of the team (quite impressive)! We discussed options and agreed that I was a good candidate for the lap band. To my surprise we set June 10th as the date (less than a month after my May 19th consult). We didn't really discuss risks etc. that much because Dr. Roslin's colleague, Dr. Shah, did a terrific power point presentation of options and risks in the conference room for several patients prior to my consult with Dr. Roslin. It is clear that Dr. Roslin is a busy man and that he is not the kind of guy that will be all "warm and fuzzy" with you. That didn't bother me at all. I liked him and felt that he would do a terrific job (this proved to be very true). His staff was very professional and competent. Everyone was pleasant enough but, in my opinion, you can sense that these are people with very full plates. There is little general banter but the staff is very knowledgable in guiding a patient through the process. I subsequently met Dr. Roslin in the hall briefly when I went to speak with the nutritionist. He was very pleasant and we joked around briefly. I met him the morning of my surgery when he reviewed my medical tests and walked me through the process. I met Dr. Roslin at 7:00am the morning after my surgery for a few minutes and he assured me that everything went well. The visit was brief and there was little general banter. I felt great almost immediately after the surgery (see my detailed log in my profile). I attribute this to Dr. Roslin's exceptional talent as a surgeon as well as his recommendation that a lap band procedure might work well for me and that we can always do a more intrusive procedure if it did not. I'm a little disappointed that 4 days post-op no one from his office has called to schedule me for a post-op appointment or to ask how I'm doing (I finally called today and left a message). On balance, I would recommend Dr. Roslin and his office to everyone including my mother and best friend if the need arose!
