Morristown Memorial Hospital Hospital
My room was 82 degrees the whole stay. They had to bring in big fans for me and my "roommate" to keep us comfortable. I was constantly hot and sweaty, not very conducive to healing. The first night there, it took 45 minutes and 4 calls for the nurse to finally help me to the bathroom, and refill my PCA (pain meds). I cried from frustration and I'm not a "crying type", but I was so angry at the slow response I couldn't help it.
The care I received at MMH was excellent. The nurses were wonderful and were knowledgeable about taking care of bariatric patients. I received a short presentation before I went home and received a nice size handout about what I need to do now that the surgery is over. I only had one complaint and it was that the room was hot. The next morning there was a repair man in repairing the AC. I was shocked and very happy!
