Dr. Curry and his staff make you feel welcome to their practice and treat you as part of their \"team\" from the very beginning. Dr. Curry has an innate ability to determine your level of understanding of the weight loss procedures he performs and then explains the details in a fashion that is neither overly complex nor insulting to your intelligence. He is passionate about the gastric lap band procedure and the benefits it offers to patients. That passion is demonstrated by his participation in various internet forums. He is extremely accessible to his patients, as well as those patients who post questions for him to answer online
**I made a trip to Cincy to meet my southern friends and also to catch Dr. Curry at a support meeting. I like him! He and his staff are all very knowledgable and personable. Dr. Curry shoots it straight from the hip, he knows what he does and doesn't pretend to know what he don't know, that's why he has a great office staff to accompany him in his practice. I can't wait to have my consult! Will write more after that. rn**ok I'm slow :) 11/15/04 - I had my second consult and consent signing at Dr. C's office. I feel so comfortable with Dr. C and feel extremely confident in him as a surgeon. He is very knowledgeable and loves what he is doing. He truly does care! My surgery date is 11/22/04rn**Dr. Curry's office staff are THE BEST! I have never met an Dr's office staff that make a people feel as welcome as they do. Every question is answered and with a smile. rn**There is NOTHING I do NOT like about Dr. C and his staff! rn**Dr Curry and his staff get a 10+ rating!rn
I met with Dr. Curry and his staff for a surgical consultation on 8/31/06. My husband and I were very pleased with everything. Dr. Curry was as nice, informative and approachable as I had been told by many on the boards. rnI had my surgery on 9/22/06. Everything went very smoothly. I have had very good experiences with Dr. Curry and his staff. The hospital staff at Deaconess was great during my stay.
My first impression of Dr. Curry was that he was young, loved his family (you should see all the family pics in his office!!!!), and cared about helping his patients change their lives. I haven't even had my first follow up exam, I'm 3 days post op, so my impression is still the same. rnI loved Dr. Curry's staff. They have been available for me whenever I needed them. Erin is especially helpful and I usually ask for her. She is the dietican and has also had the Lap Band surgery so she is extremely informative and helpful.rnDr. Curry's office emphasizes aftercare immensely! I will be spending lots of time in their office it sounds like!
My first impression of Dr. Curry was that of a kind and concerned individual who was dedicated to helping others. His staff is out of this world. We laugh and I feel so good when I leave the office. Erin the nutrionist has had the lapband proceedure herself so I feel so confident in asking her any questions. Dr. Curry gave me links to short instructional videos that helped me soooo much before surgery. I watched them 4 or 5 times.rnSo far, both his surgical competence and his bedside manner are great. I was in and out of surgery in 28 minutes my husband told me. I am two days out from surgery and feeling pretty darn good. (I am a whimp when it comes to pain.) I have already encouraged people I know who are interested in the proceedure to Dr. Curry. I would highly reccoment him to anyone considering surgery.rnrnPat Kramer
I met Dr. Curry when I attended one of his educational seminars. My initial visit was a little confusing and I did not receive the information I needed from the nutritionist. However, when I went back on my second visit after my surgery had been approved by the insurance company, the nutritionist helped me get caught up. I was impressed by Dr. Curry's experience and the information he provided in his seminar. He provided information on the risks in that seminar and also when I met with him in his office. My impression has been good from the start and has not changed. His office staff have been very helpful postop and are easily accessible to help resolve any problems that I have. I had some discomfort the first few days after my surgery, but that was all. I was impressed with Dr. Curry's surgical competence and felt very comfortable since he has performed hundreds of lap band surgeries. I highly recommend him.The after care program is great with a detailed weight management manual with instructions and sample diets, biweekly meetings with a licensed nutritionist and support groups. Also the nutritionist brings in outside speakers, i.e. plastic surgeon experience in bariatric plastic surgery.
I did a lot of research online and spoke to friends in the medical field when looking for my surgeon. Dr. Curry came has an excellent reputation. Before deciding on Dr. Curry, I went to one of his informational seminars and was pleased with his information and manner. After my initial private consultation, I was encouraged by his friendly office staff and everyone's willingness to address my concerns. My surgery went well. Dr. Curry and his staff have always been readily available for any of my concerns post op. Rebecca, his dietician, has been a valuable asset. All are very approachable and seem to genuinely care for patients. I appreciate Dr. Curry's directness, but he also has a sense of humor that I can relate to. I would not hesitate to recommend him as a surgeon. His surgical competence and bedside manner are both excellent!
