I would like to thank Dr Seun and his entire staff for making this one of the best decisions I have every made. I had my surgery almost 7 months ago and have since lost 71 lbs. I feel great and from all the reviews I have gotten I look just as good. I work for doctors that work very closely with Dr Seun, I see patients everyday that are working on their pre op procedures. I love telling them that I myself have had the procedure done and my progress they are amazed. Sometimes I show them a before picture and they spend several minutes asking me questions about the surgery, I think it is good for them to hear from someone who has just gone through it. Its funny because we all say the same thing about Dr Seun, HE IS GREAT and everyone feels so at ease with him and that he makes you feel like you matter to him and his staff. On this reveiw there is a section on the right had corner that says that "No person can be the "best" in all aspects." Well that is not true I could not find one NEGATIVE thing to say about him or my surgery.

I had my weight loss surgery in February 2011. I struggled with the idea initially but once meeting with Dr.Sowemino, I immediately knew I was making the right choice. He was informative and his supportive advice helped guide my decision. Since the surgery, I have been very happy with my results and continued weight loss. He along with his wonderful staff made me feel comfortable, confident and calm during and after my surgery. Dr. Sowemino is patient and kind and his staff's support is greatly appreciated! He is truly concerned about his patients and takes his time explaining each step throughout the weight loss process. He is extremely personable, and I always feel I am well informed after each visit. I whole-heartedly trust Dr. Sowemino and his staff with my care. He has made a huge positive impact in my life and for that I will always be grateful! I can truly say, I made the right choice by choosing Prime Surgicare and Dr. Sowemino! You are the best! I give you 10 stars!!!!

Around September 2012, I decided to go to an information session "Is Weight Loss Surgery Right for You" at Centra State Medical Center. Presenting the meeting was Dr. Seun. From that first day, I knew that if I decided to pursue this course of treatment it would have to be with Dr. Seun. I soon followed that session up with a consultation and knew that I did the right thing by not only choosing to have the surgery but choosing to have Dr. Seun as my surgeon. He was very patient and answered any question I (or my sister) had that first appointment. He and the staff were very patient when I experienced some insurance coverage issues. Finally, January 23, 2013 I had my surgery at Centra State Medical Center. Dr. Seun and the rest of the staff were very kind and caring. I felt at ease having the surgery and the aftercare was excellent as well. Dr. Seun's bedside manner is wonderful. He always makes every patient feel like they are the only patient he has. I know this because my room mate at the hospital was also his patient, as well as a nurse at Centra State. I didn't feel like I was any less of a patient or mattered any less than my room mate despite her being an employee of Centra State. His office staff are wonderful. Joan helped me navigate my insurance issues and Julie is a great nutritionist. The aftercare program with Central Jersey Bariatrics is second to none. They really care about their patients and always greet me by name when I go to the office. They are always willing to help in any way possible. I have and continue to have a very positive experience with Dr. Seun and his entire staff. I am glad I chose Central Jersey Bariatrics and Dr. Seun for this life-changing surgery.

Dr. Sowemimo is amazing. He was helpful and caring from my first pre-op visit and it still continues even now 4 months post-op. He informs you on all your options and what he feels would be best for you. His office is helpful especially when dealing with your insurance company. I had the VSG and it has changed my life. It was one of the best decisions i ever made. I am down 50 lbs 4 months out and i am positive i will reach my gold of 120 lbs. I am so thankful i chose Dr. Sowemimo. He is a phenomenal surgeon, the day of my surgery went so smoothly. I was put to sleep and before i knew it i was in my room with my family. I had no pain by my incisions at all. I recovered so fast and was outside building a snowman with my daughter 1 week later. Thank you so much Dr. Sowemimo.

I am a patient of Dr. Seun. He performed my roux-n-y gastric bypass one week ago today.
There are a lot of positive things I can write about the entire process to date, but it's already been said by other reviewers. I couldn't imagine this process going any smoother.
At this moment, what really sticks out for me happened after surgery. I don't know how he does it. He must own a time machine, have a twin....I don't know, but Dr. Seun, in addition to seeing patients in his office, performing surgeries, holding seminars (in two hospitals! Really, when does he go home??), came to check my progress every day I was in the hospital. The best was on discharge day. I didn't have to linger in the hospital waiting for Dr Seun to give my discharge orders. He was there bright early with breakfast! I think that the time Dr. Seun takes to educate and care for his patients cannot be surpassed!

I had my sleeve surgery almost 5 1/2 months now. I met with Dr. Seun back in August of last year and went over all my options. he explained things very thoroughly and attended his seminar afterwards. It was clear to me which direction I was going to take and answered questions to the concerns i had. It's not a surgery to take lightly and this first week is the hardest. To date I have lost 61 lbs and 40% of my excess weight. I live a healthy and better life and would do it again. I trusted Dr. Seun and happy that I did. I am forever grateful to continue this journey with you all.

Here for my 6 month check up with Dr Seun and down almost 80 pounds! Could not be happier with Dr Seun or his office staff-they are wonderful people who helped me realize a dream and meet my goal! I am now 11 months our from my RNY/gastric bypass performed by Dr. Seun. I've gone from 260 to 140 and I camry get over how much better I feel! I sing Dr. Seun's praises constantly because he really changed my life. And the amazing sportive person that he is, he hands those praises right back saying that he only gave me the tools and that I did this. The way I see it is you can't build a house without a hammer and nails and I couldn't do this without him and his fantastic staff!

I first met Dr. Seun and Julie Parrott in November 2012. My weight had surpassed 380 pounds. I was on two kinds of insulin, and several oral medications for my type 2 diabetes. I couldn't walk more than 2 minutes without tiring out and sweating. My blood sugars were out of control and I needed a change.

At my initial consultation Dr. Seun recommended the full gastric bypass for my surgery. I then proceeded with Julie and her nutrition program and obtained the required medical clearances. My surgery was on Feb 4, 2013.

Today is the 100th day since my surgery. I saw Dr. Seun yesterday for my 3 month post surgery follow up.

I want to let everyone know I have followed everything Dr. Seun and Julie have told me to do (including following the post-op diet progression). I would not believe anyone if they told me that in just 100 days the following would have happened.......but it has.

I was able after just 45 days to come off insulin. I no longer take Novolog or Lantus. My blood sugars have normalized.

I am now able to walk for over 1 hour straight without having to take a break.

I am no longer hot, I no longer break out into sweats like I did before surgery.

I have gone from wearing 5X shirts to wearing 2X shirts.

My starting BMI was 54, it is now 39.

And I have lost 102 pounds in just 100 days.

Without Dr. Seun and Julie, I would still be the 380 pound guy who worried constantly about his health. I must admit I was afraid to undergo bypass. I checked into the procedure back in 2008. But I never felt comfortable about the procedure.

When I turned 45, I knew I had to do something about my weight. I was heavier than ever and my diabetes was not improving.

When I first met Dr. Seun I felt very happy and comfortable about taking the first step to better health. Dr. Seun is a good man and a great doctor. I am grateful that my research led me to him.

Losing 102 pounds in just 100 days, it is amazing. But it is hard work. I exercise everyday, I make the right choices, and I am feeling so much better and healthier.

Thank you Dr. Sean and Julie, I appreciate everything you have done for me.
