DR. SUDAN IS VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE IS IMFORMATIVE AND PERFECTIONISTIC ABOUT HIS PATIENT'S CARE. HE PROVIDES THE BEST IN PRE-OP AND POST-OP CARE. HE IS ALWAYS PLEASANT, CONCERNED, AND AVAILABLE FOR QUESTIONS. HE IS KNOWLEDGEABLE ON BOTH PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF BARIATRIC SURGERY. THE STAFF ASSOCIATED WITH DR. SUDAN ARE ORGANIZED, ALSO PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED AND WORK WELL AS A TEAM. THIS PROGRAM MET MY NEEDS BUT IS NOT A WARM AND COZY ENVIRONMENT. THEIR FOCUS IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND TO GIVE EXCELLENT CARE. IF ONE WANTS WARM FUZZIES, TAKE MOM WITH YOU.
Dr. Sudan is the best!! The best of the best. He not only did my WLS surgery, he also did both my mom and dad's. He literally saved my dad's life, because he found a rare cancer in him, and took it out during his WLS surgery!! If it wasn't for the surgery, there is no test to detect his type of cancer until it's too late. Dr. Sudan is very caring, professional, and doesn't treat big people differently than little people. His staff is excellent too. I have nothing to say about him, but positives.
I have not met Dr. Sudan formally he will be the primary surgeon but initial consult was with Dr. Forse. Orientation was very organized and informative. He seems to be very professional and have a passion for his work. rnrn10/05/2007rnCompleted my pre-op testing and met with Dr. Sudan for the first time. He was professional. I couldn't think of any questions because I research so much myself. I did have one and that is how long is the surgery. I did ask as well about the staples he cleared that up quickly. Staples are better becasue there is less infection and because he takes them out after 5 days little to no scarring. Home there are no nasty oozings. Yuk. i am on the count down, 10 days to go.
Dr. Sudan came across as experienced and committed to the treatment of obesity. I was impressed with his surgical history and felt very comfortable with him. I looked at other surgeons in the area and I kept coming back to Dr. Sudan. His office staff was helpful and professional. My calls were returned quickly and all paperwork was filed when they said it would be. I never felt rushed with Dr. Sudan. He answered all questions --if I didn't have questions the visits could be a bit short but I didn't need the extra time. I have just started his aftercare program and am excited to begin this journey~
Dr. Sudan knows what he is doing - I was impressed by what I had heard through others and when I met him. I did have several issues with someone in the billing area named Lori that I was not pleased with at all - but - I do not let that go towards my feelings of him and his staff I deal directly with. Aftercare is very important - follow up - follow up. I would give Dr. Sudan the highest rating I possibly could. His surgical competence is top notch - as well as his bedside manner. He makes sure you are doing well - and will address all issues you have. I can't say enough about him and I am so glad I had this done. My life has changed so much all ready.
I first saw Dr Sudan 7 yrs ago when I first tried to get my surgery. However at that time our ins had an exclusion on any kind of WLS. After several appeals, I couldn't take the rollercoaster ride any long and gave up.rnrnStarted the process all over again when we had a different ins carrier. That was approx 2+ yrs ago. Was very impressed with Dr Sudan previously when I had seen him and gone to his seminar. So naturally went back to him this time.rnrnHe has been great. Is the head of Creighton Hosp's bariatric program. One of the best bariatric surgeons in the country. Totally at ease with him and feel sure that I'm in the best hands I could be.rnrnHis staff are super, very professional, caring and willing to help you in any way they can thru this whole process.rnrnShelly, the Dietitian. Instantly liked her, funny and very informative. Was evident that she genuinly cares about you and what all you will be going thru in this process.rnrnAll aspects of before, during and aftercare were throughly covered. As well as risks involved. rnrnOverall opinion, I believe he is very professional and knowlegeable as a bariatric surgeon. Have no reservations of putting my life in his hands for my surgery and followup care.rnrnWill further update my impressions as my journey continues. As well as anything that I thought could have been better, or improved upon.rnrnFeb 18thrnHad my surgery on Feb 14th 07. Impressions on Dr Sudan.....I have to say I'm Very impressed with him. He's very through, and compassionate. So far don't see that changing. He gives off confidence, but not arrogance. I like that, and being a nurse I'v seen my share of arrogant Doctors. Very happy to be in his hands for this journy. Dr Silver, she was so nice as well. rn
Dr. Sudan was great. Communication with his office a bit slow sometimes but a lot better than other doctor's offices. I would rate him a 9.5 out of 10. Dr. Sundan is the head doctor of the program. He is the one that actually performed my surgery. He has many doctors working under him. I had a lot of contact with them. They were all great as well.
