My consultation was 9/18/08. I was very nervous but Dr. Pupkova put my mind at ease the minute she walked in the room. It seems to me that she knows that this is or will be a life changing experience for most patients. work in the health care field and find that some people become desenistized to procedures or disease when they deal with it day after day. I did not get that impression. She spoke in layman terms and answered most of my questions before I asked. She ended the consultation with a hug which I though was awesome.

I absolutely love Dr. P. She is so personable and ends your meetings with a hug! I think its 50 or 49 days now until my surgery and I'm so ready for this! I have complete confidence with Dr. P and her staff!

Dr. Pupkova was awesome when I met her for my initial consult in August '07. She is very professional and detailed. She answered all of our questions (without them having to be asked). I've done research on her surgical abilities and have been very pleased with what I have found (zero mortalities and low complication rates). Dr P was phenominal when I had my RNY in Dec '07. She is such a caring person. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon. There is nothing that I would change about the experience.

I just love this woman! Great bedside manner and a heart of gold! I would recommend her to everyone!

Dr Pupkova, was a very well informed surgeon. She know what she likes and does not like. Her favorite procedure is the bypass but she will do the lapband if thats what you want. She is very caring and loving and ends all appointments with a hug and a good comment for you to leave with. i highly recommend her as your surgeon.

I found Dr. Pupkova to be very direct and I like that alot! Her staff seems very friendly. She is very strict about NO SMOKING, and following the clinics eating guide. I think she's GREAT!!

Dr. Pupkova is the greatest surgeon. She cares about your health and will always give you the best advice she can. She gives you hugs at all of your appointments. She also gives you a cell number that you can call 24/7 with questions. She tells you the way it is but is very nice about it, and she does this because she wants to help people not for the money.

My first impression of Dr. P was she was genuinely concerned about me as a patient. She is highly qualified and very knowledgeable--I love her manner and the way she speaks to you as a person--not at you like some Drs. do. As I progressed through the journey to surgery she was helpful and caring. On surgery day she was just the best--kind caring and she is a hugger!!! After in recovery she came to see me she even waked the halls a bit with me and when I was discharged she gave me her cell phone number! Overall she is the best surgeon and I couldn't be happier with everything!!

Dr Pupkova is the best surgeon the Barix Clinic has. I was assigned to her after Dr Alan Brader left the clinic so I was a little skeptical about \"inheriting\" a new doctor. Well she put all my fears and apprehensions to rest. She explained the Lap-Band vs. Gastric Bypass in detail and I opted for Gastric Bypass because its more long term. Dr Pupkova has given my back rubs to hugs when ever I felt upset or just not feeling good. She hugs me at each Post-Op visit and tells me what a model patient I am. She encourages me and tells me to make exercise and lifelong good eating habits part of my long term goal. I am so blessed to have her as my surgeon. Anybody who picks her as her surgeon is going to be in good hands she has such healing hands and such great bedside manner. Keep up the good work!!

Dr Pupkova is the greatest!! She is so loving and caring. And ou can tell she loves what she does. She is my biggest cheerleader! She even gives her patients her cellphone to call anytime if they need anything! She is like family to my family and me!!
