I met Dr Zorn on march 14th, i was very nervous and forgot most of my questions i had for him, he made me feel comfortable i didnt feel rushed thru the consult, he addressed the risks of the surgery without sugar coating it was very informative, This is a revision for me, i had a gastric lapband before that didnt work out for me. I was very pleased with him. I would rate him very competent with good bedside manners. I just got my surgery date today it will be on june 24th, im VERY happy. I just wish it was sooner. I will make some follow up comments on Dr Zorn after my surgery :)

My husband and myself attended a meeting in July Dr. Zorn was the speaker, We both liked him for his casual and humorus approach but he did get down to facts.I did not know who or what Dr. I would get.

When I got my approval letter from Kaiser Dr. Zorn was on the paper work. I had forgotten he was the speaker in July.

When I went for my first meeting in the series of to do's I meet with Dr. Zorn and much to my suprise I knew he was the speaker at the meeting and I felt very comfortable with him he was very kind pleasant and answered all questions, the office crew were wonderful and while I was waiting they had another patient share her story and before and after pictures it was Real nice.

It was very encouraging I feel safe that this is what I need to do for myself....

Dr.Zorn will by my surgeon. I met with him on March 6,2002. My appt was at 3:15 pm & got in pretty much right away. He explained the surgery to me & where the scar will be. Anwserd all my questions & I was very happy with him. The office staff was very nice. I had someone who weighed me at the beginning & she had someone else's height & weight info in the scale. But that was the only problem I had. The dr stressed how important it is to follow the aftercare program to get the best results because the surgery is only a tool to help you lose the weight. If you continue to eat the way you used to, you wont lose the weight. I have weighed the benefits & the risks. And there is nobody going to stop me from having this surgery. It's going to give me my life back.

I had a good feeling about Dr. Zorn right from the start. He sat down and took his time with me. I didn't feel rushed, and he answered all of my questions. Before I went to Pacific Bariatric, I read many comments and selected Dr. Zorn based on my research. I definitely made the right choice. Many people have criticized his office staff, but I have always been treated professionally and with courtesy when I'm there.

Dr. Zorn was very clear in outlining all of the risks of surgery. He also went into great detail about aftercare and what I would need to do to maximize my weight loss. I felt much better about the surgery after I left his office.

Dr. Zorn is the best. He's like a nice grandpa. He's really busy and has alot of patients, so the personalization wasn't there.
His office, Hillcrest Surgical Medical Group, is very busy and crowded. Expect delays when going for check ups.
What I like least about his is how busy he is and how hard it is to get an appointment to see him.
Dr. Zorn really stresses aftercare and has a planned structure of post-op appointments. He also has a guide for week by week what to add to your diet and what to stay away from.
Dr. Zorn didn't really talk about the risks of this surgery with me before hand. I had already educated myself about the risks. The medical group he is with addresses the risk of surgery in an informative intro to WLS session that is required before the surgery.
I would say that he is an 8 out of 10. A little more personal care would have been nice. I never really saw him till day 3 post op when I asked him if I could go home yet.
His surgical competence is the better part of him. He has performed this same procedure thousands of times.

My first impression of Dr. Zorn was that he was knowledgable and to the point. He didn't sugar coat things. My impression hasn't changed..I still look for him instead of his colleagues to answer my questions. The office staff at Pacific Bariatric is fine, not over friendly, but not snobbish either. What did I like least about Dr. Zorn...he is always behind in his appointments, but then, that is also a good thing...he is answering someones questions and easing fears. He has his patients see him at 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year. He is fairly insistent on this, but then, I haven't tried not to see him, after all, he is the one that is knowledgable. He addressed the risks of surgery fairly well. I think he is a Dr. that expects his patients to do their own research as well. I thought he was a great Dr. I am quite pleased with my surgery and the aftercare I have had. If you are looking for a Dr. to baby you, you might want to choose someone else...he is very no nonsense. You have to do this, you didn't go through major surgery to have someone hold your hand. But if something seriously scares you, he will ease your concerns.

My surgeon was very kind and helpful. I don\'t feel differently about him now. He gave me good instructions and I am following them. Office staff is somewhat helpful. Lots of waiting for them to complete things. I like him! He has good instructions. Aftercare is all about exercise, exercise, exercise. Post op apppointments are important. He did address the risk of surgery. I like him. This is a surgery that you have to be in controll of. It is your decision and you can make your recovery great if you put effort forward.

DR.Zorn, seem like a wonderful man. when i walk in to his office i was inpressed with the fast pace of the office staff, i must have waited about 3 mims before they called me in. and when DR.Zorn came into the room.we chated like old friends,he never rushed me or laughed at my questions.at the end of our meeting he said he was looking forword to add me to his "WALL OF BABES'
