doctor rumsey is one cool cat. his staff is top notch also. i came out almost pain free. shout out to the nurses at scripps! nurse pham, sherry, kari and jamie. they were awesome.
On my first Visit I felt Dr. Rumsey seemed to very busy man but stillseemed to be caring and concerned with my welfair. Everyone in his office was great and I am so happy that my surgery date is almost here.
He was very kind and consderate. His staff was gentle and reassuring. He was patient with all of my questions. I found out he and his wife are active in their Christian church. I was dissapointed that he wanted me to lose more weight before my surgery even though I had already lost some.
Met with the surgeon today and it was a great appointment. I didn't have many questions for him so the appointment went rather quickly. He assured me that even though I am losing weight fast I will still qualify for the surgery. The whole process today was fast and especially what I was hoping for! He was matter of fact and didn't waste time. The office staff was nice and helpful. I got a great hand out booklet from them that outlines the aftercare and procedure. Dr Rumsey was great- from the first time I meet him he was very nice and always willing to help. The office staff was also great!!! Dr Rumsey explained everything to me- pros and cons and I couldn't be happier withhim and the staff at Pacific Beriatrics.
I really like my surgeon. At first he seemed a little less than friendly but once I got to know him he really was a great guy. He made me feel at ease and very confident in his ability to help me.
I was blessed to meet Dr. Rumsey. He is a very caring surgeon and did a fabulous job with me, and all of those he has helped. rnScripps Mercy hospital was fabulous and I am lucky to have been able to have my surgery there.rnAlthough I probably wouldn't have the surgery now that I have found a plan that works perfectly to lose weight healthily, at the time it was the right decision for me.rn
Very personable, very business like, very professional. Took time to answer all of my and my wifes questions. Made us feel very secure. I was very confident in his skills. Office staff was friendly. Office is outfitted for oversized patients. Very strong on after care. I would give him a 10 out of 10.
Dr Rumsey is a very caring, personable physician! I was impressed by the fact that he made me feel at ease, took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, and then speak to me about his concerns regarding my case in paticular. Since I had a lower BMI since losing the weight in my Kaiser Bariatric Options classes, he was concerned that the risks might outweigh the benifits. He wants to re-evaluate me in a few months to see how I am doing. Unfortunately, I have gained some weight back since the initial consultation. I will be seeing Dr. Rumsey again in a few weeks, to see if I will have the surgery or not. Either way, I know that he has my best interest at heart, and I trust him completely!
