my first impression of Dr.Li was a good experience she made feel comfortable when i walk in her office i felt like iv\"e know her for years.she and her staff was exceptional they welcome you in like you were part of the family.there was nothing that i did not like about Dr. Li she was wonderful she was a person like i was and i like that about her she did\"t make you feel overweight and disgusting like people do when you walk down the street. there was not one time i felt sad or upset .Dr. Li was perfect and she is a wonderful Dr. the follow ups is very important to her.there is so much information at Dr. Li office .The information is right at your fingertips.I Was not nervous i was ready to loose the weight and i came to the right place Dr.Christina Li. i am so happy i did it had the surgery that is. Dr. Li let me know the risk of the surgery right up front .There was not one time i was scared she made me feel so welcome and i put all my trust in her i knew she had very good hands.I Would do it again she was exceptional and her staff is wonderful i would rate Dr.Li. as 10 everything went perfect and like i said i would recommend her to anyone who needs the help to loose weight .i think surgical competence and bedside manner are great .IFEEL WONDERFUL AND BY THE WAY I LOST 23POUNDS That's Great and I'm only two weeks out.

I actually have the honor of having both Dr. Li and Dr. Gandsas both bariatric surgeons from Sinai Hospital. Dr. Li will be my primary surgeon and Dr. Gandsas will be assisting her because of the revisionary process. I am a little scared although I know who hands I am ( \"Gods hands\") but I initially wanted to go somewhere else just because I am in love with Dr. Barry Greene at Shady grove but the insurance would not cover him. However, I love Dr. Li too and I know she will take good care of me. Wish me luck!rnrnOctober 3, 2008 I had my revision with Dr. Li and it turns out that Dr. Gandsas was not needed after all for my surgery was uncomplicated. Dr. Li stated she was very pleased with the way surgery went. Dr. Li is phenomenal and I am so glad I had no choice but to use her because of insurance. However, things happen for a reason and I soon found out that Dr. Li was so wonderful to her patients. Her bedside manner is superb and one thing I like about her is that she is so straightforward. She takes case by case and she will not perform a surgery on you based on a persons wants but more so on the medical need. That means alot because there are surgeons out there who only look at the dollar amount and Dr. Li is more concern with the physical well being of the patient. rnDr. Li is well educated and although she is a young surgeon her expertise exceeds some of the veteran surgeons that I know. I am so glad to say I am her first revision patient from a band to sleeve and I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon. I went into surgery feeling confident with her decision to revise me to a sleeve and not the RNY and also that my surgery would be a success. Boy was I right! At the 1 week post op appointment I had already lost 13lbs. Dr. Li feels like we have a winner with this revision and my goal is to prove her right. If you are looking for a surgeon, I hope you will consider Sinai Hospital Bariatric Department more specifically Dr. Li for she is the best. To meet her is to love her! I have nothing negative to say about Dr. Li and her staff for they have been superb. The program has great support groups sessions that occur often however I would like to see some individual support groups set up as well for each prospective surgery. It helps when you can speak with others who can relate to what you are experiencing, I am sure these types of programs are coming. At Sinai they listen and are always striving to meet the needs of their patient. Overall, again a very good program.

Dr. Li is a gem! She really wants to see you do well and makes sure you understand every aspect of the pre and post surgery information. I really appreciated her enthusiasm and care!

MY SURGEON WAS EXCELLENT.I AM 47 YEARS OLD AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE HAD SURGERY.I FELT VERY COMFORTABLE WITH HER FROM THE FIRST VISIT.SHE TOOK TIME TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO ME BOTH PRIOR TO SURGERY AND AFTER.SHE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HAD A CARING ATTITUDE.I HAVE SINCE REFERRED OTHERS TO HER AND THEY LOOK FORWARD TO HAVING HER AS A SURGEON.SHE WAS VERY APPROACHABLE AND MADE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE WHICH WAS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME.SHE REALLY CARES ABOUT HER PATIENTS AS EVIDENCED BY HER LISTENING ABILITIES.MY SLEEVE GASTRECTOMY WAS A SUCESS AND I ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO OUR POST OP APPOINTMENTS.IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CARES AND WILL LISTEN TO YOU.SHE'S THE ONE AND I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND HER.

A friend who had a gastric bypass done by Dr. Li recommended her to me, even though I had already chosen (and had an appointment with) another surgeon at another hospital. I went to an information session where Dr. Li spoke and decided that I wanted HER to be the one with my life in her hands. She has a great bedside manner - friendly, caring, and yet takes things seriously. She doesn't play around - and that's what I want in someone who'll be in charge of opening my body and moving things around. I got my appointment with her quite quickly and the office staff were very friendly. rnrnI ended up having my gallbladder out (3.5 cm stones!) and a liver biopsy, and her office handled everything. She did all 3 procedures, updating my husband as she went. I spent about an hour with her at an appt before the surgery discussing the procedure, the sequence of events, and all of the risks. She made sure I knew what was happening and what was at risk. rnrnShe followed up with me during my hospital stay - I saw her a few times and she called my room to check on me during her day off. She (and Sinai) have a great aftercare program that is stressed just as much as the surgery and prep. They really educate you on the problems that can occur if you don't follow the nutrition and supplement plan exactly. When you choose Dr. Li, you also choose Nancy, the nutritionist. She'll answer your questions 24/7 and educate you on more than you thought possible. I'm a week out and feeling great. rnrnI can't say enough about Dr. Li. She's just awesome. She ends every appointment with a big hug and words of encouragement and comfort. When's the last time one of your doctors did that??

I am exceedingly please with the service that I received from my surgeon Dr. Christina Lee. She was stirn but fair. She went out of her way to help me reach my goal. She was straight forward with all the \"hard\" questions that I asked.rnrn The suceess of Sinai Hospital Bariatric program can be attributed to loyal employees who pull together. The staff deserve a standaing \"Ovation\".

My experience with Dr. Li was a great one. She was very warm, highly interested in her patient's history, health, and well-being. She demonstrated good bed side manner. Her office staff was always professional. Dr. Li address all the risks of the surgery and answered any and all questions I had. I want future patients to know that Dr. Li will give you 100% aftercare on your visits after surgery and she gives the same interest before surgery. Dr. Li was recommended to me by a co-worker and every positive compliment she gave her I found it to be true. I am two weeks into recovery feeling fine and progressing. I spent over a year reading, learning and contemplating weight loss surgery before I actually came to the decision this it was right for me. I went to the introductory meeting at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore where I learned even more and first met my surgeon, Dr Christina Li. She was very nice and spent a lot of time answering everyone's questions during and after the meeting with very direct and informative answers as did her staff. I was very pleased after my first meeting and felt I had come to the right place. rnrnA few weeks later I had my first appointment with Dr Li and was a little put off that she did not seem to have much faith in Lap Band surgery which was what I had decided upon. I feel she worked hard to sway me into a full bypass but I was determined Lap Band was the right choice for me. I will say my opinion of Dr Li's insistence has greatly changed during the time I got to know her both before and after my surgery and I do understand her reasoning now. Dr Li cares about her patients and wants them to succeed in weight loss, to be healthy and live longer and for many, Lap Band just does not work. rnrnThe staff at Sinai are wonderful and always helpful with whatever it is you need. The nutritionist Nancy is always available and extremely quick in answering questions, giving tips and offering her guidance. The before and after care I have so far received has been really helpful and in my determination to prove to Dr Li I made the right choice with Lap Band I am doing awesome and Dr Li is not only pleased but has been totally supportive.rn
