Dr. Li was recomended by a friend of mine who had the gastric bypass surgery. I am so glad I made the choice to stick with her, every visit pre op to post op has been great.Dr. Li is very personable yet down to earth, I have never felt uncomfortable around her or any of the staff there. I give her an absolute 10 + You can tell she cares about you and your outcome while always telling you exactly how it is. Future patients should know that you are in good hands with Dr. Li

I chose Dr. Christina Li as my surgeon based on the reviews from her patients and because she practiced at Sinai Hospital. I had been to Sinai Hospital once in the past and was treated very impressively. This is a rare occurence at a Baltimore city Hospital. My first impression was that she was rather warm and caring for a surgeon and spent a fair amount of time with me at the appointment. She didn't seem hurried nor was I rushed through the appointment. I can not tolerate mistakes. I will never let anyone perform surgery on me that is not meticulous and thorough, and she fit the bill. I felt very comfortable and confident with her. Upon Surgery, Dr. Li decided to keep me in the hospital for an extra day. Again, The staff at Sinai Hospital could not have been better. Every person that I encountered seemed genuinely interested and concerned about me. I was very pleased with my decision. Dr. Li is very good about stressing the importance of nutrition and aftercare and is very informative regarding all aspects of her surgery. She is very dedicated to her profession. The only negative aspect of the Sinai program is that a substantial amount of communication outside of appointments goes through the dietitian Nancy lum, who is rather forgetful, disorganized and scatterbrained. On the other hand Dr. Li has an amazing balance of surgical competence and bedside manner and was an excellent choice for my surgery.

Dr Li. was a lot younger than I expected. I realized that Dr.Li was a lot more qualified than her years let on. The office staff of Dr. Li are phenomenal, they are very helpful & knowledgable about the procedures that are done in the office. There is nothing to dislike about Dr. Li she is a very likable person. Her future patients should know that she is there for you & she is to be commended on her bedside manner. She does a lot to emphasize aftercare and to make you feel at ease with your decision. Yes, her aftercare is structured and she lets you know right up front about the risks of the surgery. I would give her a 10+ overall, because her surgical competence and bedside manner go hand in hand. She is a very dedicated & great doctor. Me & my wife have gone to other seminars for obesity and it seemed as though you were being sold on the surgery. At Sinai the staff give you information but is always up front about the surgery.

I love Dr. Li. She is totally professional, competent, has a great bedside manner and really cares. Her staff is extremely supportive. I had surgery 5 months ago, lost 57 pounds and with Dr. Li, will continue to loose and be healthy. I rate her and her staff a 10 out of 10. Dr. Li is so good that she's a little busy, but well worth the wait!

Great experience from start to finish with Dr. Li. Everyone in the office was wonderful, from Phyllis, the nurse, to Nancy, the dietician, to Dr. Li. Can't recommend her more highly! Definitely happy to be having a continuing relationship with Dr. Li's office.

My initial visit with Dr. Christina Li was exciting; I couldn't wait to get started with my weight loss journey. When I arrived to her office, she greeted me with a smile and made me feel very comfortable and at ease. We discussed my many years of failed weight loss and methods used, my weight loss goals and steps that I would need to take preoperatively to reach my overall goal. Dr. Li emphasized how weight loss surgery would be a great benefit to me, the main benefit being, improving my health status. As a registered nurse, I already knew that there would be many risks to having surgery; Dr. Li made sure I was well aware of the risks associated with the \"Sleeve\" in particular. Dr. Li is always very professional, but very personable; she makes you feel cared for and special, as if you are her only patient. After each visit with Dr. Li, we depart with a hug; this lets me know that I'm in good hands and will be getting excellent care by a caring and compassionate surgeon. Since my surgery on November 11,2008, my respect and trust has greatly increased. Dr. Li was successful in completing my gastric sleeve. She was very supportive and caring during my short hospital stay. One week post op, I felt wonderful and couldn't wait to see Dr. Li, to let her know just how thankful I was for her performing the surgery. This will not only change my life ,but most of all, save my life. I've started referring some of my co-workers interested in weight loss surgery, to Dr. Li; She is a kind, caring and superb bariatric surgeon.

I was impressed with wealth of information presented at seminar given by Dr. Li and Bariatric Dept.rnMy first impression has not changed as Dr. Li took the time to answer my questions and concerns.rnThe office staff are wonderful, caring people and very efficient.rnThe least thing I liked was having to wait so long to get the surgery, but that was not the fault of Dr. Li, it was because of insurance rules .rnFuture patients should know that Dr. Li is very supportive and wants the best possible outcome for her patients. rnThere is lots of time taken to explain the purpose of aftercare.rnThere is a very organized plan after surgery. In addition to post-surgery visits with Dr. Li, there are classes and seminars and support groups available.rnDr. Li discussed the risks of various types of Bariatric surgery at the seminar and during office visits. She also gave me a information and patient consent package to read before surgery. I had the option of having any questions or concerns answered by Dr. Li or her staff prior to being admitted to the hospital. I would rate Dr. Li a \"10\" on a scale of 1-10. She has great surgical competence and bedside manner.

Dr. Li was suggested by my primary care doctor who I had been with for many years in addition to my cardiologist who suggested another doctor in the same practice. The first time I saw Dr. Li she was personable and spent an appreciable amount of time discussing everything I wanted to know about this weight lose surgery. Her office staff was extrememly friendly and caring. Some of her staff were current patients already having gone through weight lose surgery. There is nothing I like least about her at this time. She is an up type person and is youthful which is what I was looking for in a new doctor. At the end of our first meeting she gave me a hug instead of a hand shake and that made a big impression on me and I trusted her immediately from there on. Their whole office is dedicated to aftercare as that is where the most consintration is needed. Meeting with their dietician is a regular item along with support groups that they organize and hold meetings. In our pre-op meeting she laid out of the risks that come with this surgery sometimes a little scary but identified the percentages of each incident happening or not. Any surgery can be risky but I have a number a people I know who have had this and wasn't worried at all. I would highly recommend Dr. Li for bariatric surgery of any sort. I came out of this the next day and went home and feel pretty good with very little pain. I have only been a patient for a short time but as explained to me when we met that she would be there for me the rest of my life if needed to maintain this program. Surgical competence is the more important matter I feel but if can have a doctor who has a good beside manner that that is the ultimate. On my first post-op visit I brought my wife to meet Dr. Li for the second time and she expressed to me how much she liked her after the visit. She was thorough and went over everything I should be made aware of in the first 30 days post-op.rnI did look at the statement about no negative comments but I do not have anything negative to say at this time regarding Dr. Li, her staff or office.rnrnThank You,rnrnDaniel Plotkin

I work in healthcare and I have to say that what initially drew me to Dr. Li is that she is not like most other surgeons. Surgeons do not have the best reputation as being easy to work with and having the best attitude. Dr. Li is the \"anti-surgeon\" in this respect. She is not only the kindest, most caring surgeons I have ever met, but one of the most kind and caring physicians I have ever met. I knew that if I was to have WLS, then Dr. Li had to be my surgeon. When i first went to one of Dr. Li's seminars, she was obviously very competent, knowledgable, and well-trained in her field. What impressed me most though, was how well she seemed to understand the problems, anxiety, fear, and pain of the morbidly obese patients she helps. The could grasp the emotional side of the disease as much as the physical side. This insight made me feel very comfortable with Dr. Li and with the Bariatric surgery Program at Sinai Hospital. I made my appointment to see Dr. Li and start the process the day after that seminar. Dr. Li also surrounds herself with a great team. The surgeon is just part of an amazing program at Sinai. I have always felt well informed and prepared at each step of the way. WLS can be overwhelming, but knowing what is expected of you and what to expect next makes things easier. So after a bunch of pre-op testing that gave Dr. Li all the info she needed, we set a surgery date. I then had a pre-op appointment, where my wife also came and we asked a bunch of questions. Dr. Li happily answered all of our questions and addressed all of my concerns. We even discussed some points together and she asked for my input, which is alwasy nice to be a part of your own care. My surgery went well and my wife was kept in the loop by Dr. Li and her staff throughout and after the surgery. Dr. Li told me what to expect throughout my hospitalization so I knew what to expect and there were no real surprises. Now that the surgery is over, Dr. Li still expects regular follow-ups and adherance to the post-op diet and exercise regimen as she really wants her patients to succeed. I have been very satisfied with Dr. Li and the Sinai Bariatric Surgery program and would recommend it to anyone looking to have weight loss surgery.
