This man is amazing. And he's really cute too. :PrnrnMy first impression was, \"Damn, this guy really knows what he's talking about.\" He had a warm sense of humor that made me feel very at ease. His staff is very helpful. His nurse got my insurance to approve my surgery WITHIN 24 HOURS OF MY CONSULTATION! I was shocked. rnrnIf you are considering weight loss surgery and live in the DC Metro area, I don't think I could possibly recommend anyone higher than this man. He is truly incredible.

I love Dr. Moe, he is the best. From the first time I met him he made me feel like I was his only patient. I couldn't have picked a better doctor.

So far I feel very comfortable with Dr. Moazzez. I really like the approach he takes to weight loss sugery- that it is only a tool for weight loss. rnrnHe has an excellent staff that is helping me through the entire preapproval process. He has a VERY structured aftercare program that I like also. I like that there will be plenty of support for me after my surgery also.

Dr. Moazzez immediately impressed me as a kind man. He hasn't changed that impression at all. He is very supportive and kind. I feel at home in the office, and I think he is very knowledgeable. If I had to pick a least like, it would be that he has so many patients, that sometimes I feel like I am not top priority. From our first talk, I was very clear that I was going to have people with me for every step of the way. I knew what I was going to be expected to do, and also what the possiblities (both good and bad) of surgery are. He is a wonderful surgeon, and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Moazzez made a favorable first impression though my initial visit was not for a bariatric consult. After speaking to my PCP, I decided to go back for the consult. Dr. M's office personnel (very friendly!!!) made sure that I attended an information lecture/forum first. Though I did a lot of online research, the lecture was informative and was conducted by D. M! I was even more assured - and didl not at all pressured - with the consultation. Dr. Moazzez made sure during the lecture that everyone knew the risks, the follow up and commitment needed by the patients...and that WLS is a TOOL. He reiterated all that during the consult also. Risks, assurance, commitment, follow up, follow through, support, and knowledge are what is repeated. The Metrobariatrics New Patient Manual :) is very helpful also. Dr. M has a contract for his patients that gives you even more to consider...and to now what you need to do to contribute to your success. I love that comorbidity factors are known and considered with Dr.M (being 'certifiably sweet' - my term for diabetic) - it matters! Dr M is great and I appreciate the past performance surgical competence and great bedside manner! Both are SO important and he (and my PCP) have my confidence based on that! Everyone comments that the staff is welcoming (they are) and Dr M is cute (YES!)...add me as echoing that. I am looking forward to the diabetes help with the \"side result\" of being thinner/healthier! As to any negatives - ?

Dr. Moazzez was focused on making sure I was informed about everything...not only the benefits, but the risks as well. He definitely lets you know you have a lifelong commitment, and stresses your doctor visits afterwards. rnThe follow-up care is GREAT. I could not be happier with it.rnOver time, my impression of Dr. Moazzez has not changed. I would recommend him to anyone.

After agressively studying my options, I had narrowed it down to two Doctors, and decided to go with Dr. Moazzez. He is located less than 5 miles away from me and conveience was a factor, but certainly not my only criteria. I met him last week on January 10th - I attended one of his seminars. The session was rather informative. He knows what he's talking about. He did most of his schooling at Georgetown Medical - and that is very impressive. That's an incredible school. He's never lost a patient before. He's done well over a thousand procedures, he's got experience. He's well mannered, educated, professional. Before I went to that seminar, I did my fair amount of homework on him too. I had been to his website many times, I had reviewed what his patients had to say about him, and I even spoke to many of them. I looked in to his credentials, I totally scoped him out. Everything about him was positive. I simply couldn't find any dirt. I looked and looked - but nothing. His patients adore him, they all have great things to say about him - and I admit that when I met him, I liked him instantly. And I'm a very judgy type person - but I liked him! I asked him challenging questions, he never blinked, he just answered properly, with a smile on his face. I felt comfortable with him. I have my one on one consultation with him on January 24th and I'm sure I'll have more to say after that!rn

I attended Dr M's seminar, and I really really liked him. As soon as monday rolled around I called to schedule my initial consult with him and it went well. After that I gave his office my insurance info and am in the process of getting approved. I already have a surgery date, how great is that?

I first saw Dr. Moazzez at the Seminar that was offered at INOVA Fair Oaks back in June. He seemed to be very educated on all the surgeries he performs. I was very impressed with him. During my first visit however, I was not impressed with the amount of time I had to wait to be seen. My appointment was at 1:45, and I was not seen by Dr. Moazzez until 3:15. I was getting VERY impatient. Once Dr. Moazzez came in he got started right away explaining everything, and I mentioned that I was at the seminar and had decided to do the LAP band, but after attending the seminar, I decided it wasn't the right thing for me and decided to go with the gastric bypass laparoscopically. He explained everything in more detail and settled my mind that there wasn't a doubt that I would be denied. He said I would more than likely be approved because I met all the criteria. I hope so! rnrnThe office staff was very nice. They seem to really enjoy their job. They are always very helpful when I call to ask questions.rnrnHere is a picture of me and Dr. Moazzez at my last appt. 9/27/06rn
