Sterling Surgicare Bariatric Center
After struggling for almost two years with a lap-band and not successfully losing the weight I wanted; I met up with Dr Adeyeri (Dr. A) and his team for some advice and guidance. Dr. A and his highly qualified support team was open and honest with my situation and provided me with the direction to get my weight loss back on track for 2013. On January 3rd, I successfully had my lap-band removed and had a bariatric sleeve procedure performed all at the same time at Raritan Bay Med Center. Everything went like clock work from pre-op testing to surgery to discharge. One week from later the pain is gone, I am walking daily and going through the recovery process. Everything is going exactly as they told me and I am now positioned to lose the weight I wanted and live a healthier life. Dr. A did a great job and got me turned in the right direction for 2013. I cannot say enough positive things about the man from start to finish. His advice and guidance was clear, the patient care was outstanding, the surgery was successful and the support team is outstanding. I have been blessed to have top notch care and am thankful to everyone.
I look forward to a great new year.
Many thanks to all involved.

Aside from being a very concerned and dedicated provider in all aspects of bariatric care, Dr. Adeyeri is an outstanding surgeon whose passion for returning his patients to a healthy, committed lifestyle change is extraordinary. I have met few people, whether in medicine or not, who are the patients definition of concise and excellent precision regarding surgery. Dr. Adeyeri performed two surgeries on me (one for the removal of a defective lap band, and then for a the full gastric bypass), both of which were life - changing and as smooth as can ever be imagined. I fully recommend Dr. Adeyeri as a bariatric surgeon...given his expertise, his patient management, his appreciation of individual sensitivities and personality issues in weight control and food issues..and his precise surgical and post - op techniques in restoring people like myself to health and a longer, more problem - free life.
starting the process of mentally preparing for this surgery was the hardest part of the process for me but ounce committed Dr A and his staff are absolutely wonderful. My Max weight was 450 and i am 6'1" when i decided to see Dr A i was 435 and absoletly tired of being over weight my entire life since 5 years old, i am now 38. As i am writing this review i am five days out of surgery and 100% satisfied with Dr A and his wonderful staff, all are very well informed and will put your mind at ease the entire step of the way. Dr A's staff handled the most annoying parts of the insurance BS absolutely perfectly as many are are aware of this can consume almost your entire day dealing with insurance companys when i tell you this office took care of everything perfectly i am not lying, but of course you the patient have to also due your part and make and keep your dr appointments for the pre medical clearance check ups etc. Dr A and his staff will stress the importance and explain the process of being in your best physical shape that you can be in before surgery so that you will heal and recover and have the most success possible. It has worked for me so far just as he told me it would, my weight the day of surgery was 404 and five days later i am feeling great my weight is now 385 i am not worried about losing the weight as long as i stay on track with Dr A and follow his plans i have the confidence that i will lose it. Dr a also holds very informative monthly support groups to help you stay on course
I had Gastric Bypass- Roux-en-Y Laparoscopic surgery on November 8, 2012 which was the day after the snowstorm and the hospital had no power. I waited until lunchtime to see if the power would go on because Dr. Adeyeri believed it would. He didn't want to give up on the hope that it would because he knew how I had prepared for the surgery. I got a call from the hospital saying they were cancelling the surgery which upset me but what could they do. About five minuets later I got another call and they said it was on and to come over.
I have to say the hospital staff was wonderful and so helpful and Dr. Adeyeri was just as wonderful. It ended up being a late evening surgery after waiting for another patient to be finished with his surgery. The waiting was taking forever but Dr. Adeyeri and his team made me feel comfortable while preparing me for the surgery. After the surgery, I went up to the floor and continued receiving wonderful care. Once I was able to take in fluids, I was spoken to by the staff which explained what and how I was suppose to take in fluids. I was so happy that everything worked out the way it was suppose to. Thank you Dr. Adeyeri and your Dream Team.
Dr Adeyeri performed my surgery on 10/24/12. I was very nervous about the procedure, but Dr Adeyeri made me feel comfortable, answered all my questions never rushed me or made me feel bad. His staff helped me through all the pretesting and certifications required. The day of my surgery 10/24/12 - I was very nervous but there was Dr. Adeyeri with a smiling face and usual humor to calm my nerves.
Dr. Adeyeri and his staff are truly top notch! He really shows care for his patients and treats you with respect and kindness. I had to call him twice during my recovery and I never felt uncomfortable about it - in fact he assured me I should not feel bad about calling anytime I had a question and he does mean it.
I am just starting on this journey to a new healthier me but I have to say I know I made the right decision to have the surgery and I chose the right doctor.
Dr. Adeyeri is a very nice guy and it’s easy to see why he really loves what he does. He performed my gastric bypass surgery on July 26, 2012 at the Raritan Bay Hospital. His team of nurses were so nice, they made me feel relaxed and comfortable. They explained everything they were going to do and they were honest about how I was going to feel after the surgery. I was walking around the halls of the hospital within a couple of hours of the surgery. Dr. Adeyeri checked on me and made it very clear that I could call him at any time if I needed him. I never had any reason to call him, but it was great to know that I could if I needed to. Seriously, he is a great doctor, his staff is very nice and welcoming, and you can tell that they really enjoy the work that they do. They worked with my Insurance Company to make sure everything was approved and ready for my big day. I have no complaints about the procedure or the doctor's and his staff.
Dr.Adeyeri is a super nice guy and its easy to see that he really loves what he does. He performed the gastric sleeve on me on July 12, 2012 at the Rartin Bay Hospital. His team of nurses that he calls "The Dream Team" were so nice and they made me feel very relaxed & comfortable. They explained everything they were going to do and they were honest about how I was going to feel after the surgrey. I never felt any pain when I woke from the procedure, just discomfort. I felt like I had a gas bubble in my stomach that I just couldn't pass. I was walking around the halls of the hospital within a couple of hours of the surgrey. Dr Adeyeri checked on me and made it very clear that I could call him at any time if I needed him. I never had any reason to call him, but it was great to know that I could if I needed to. Dr Adeyeri is a great doctor but he needs a new watch because he is always about 15 mins late LOL :) I tease him about his lateness all the time. Don't rush to your appointment, stop and get a cup of coffee & tell Dr Adeyeri that I said it was ok for you to be late :) Seriously tho, he is a great doctor, his staff is very nice & welcoming, and you can tell that they really enjoy the work that they do. I have no complaints about the procedure or the doctor's "Dream Team." Dr Adeyeri gets a A- in my book(he would have gotten an A+, but he is always late LOL :)
About five years ago I saw a bariatric surgeon who was arrogant and condescending. He had no time for his patients and refused to see me during my initial consult. I was turned off. Four years later I hit my bottom and was unhappy and frustrated. I actually made arrangements to see Dr A's predecessor who had sold the practice to Dr. A. At first I wasn't sure what I was getting into but as soon as I made my first contact with Dr. A I was ill at ease and willing to go to any length to feel better physically and emotionally. Dr A and his staff took me through all the steps necessary during the pre op process. We hit some road blocks with insurance and referring physicians but everyone was helpful in getting these issues resolved. I am very grateful I made the decision to utilize Dr. A and his team. I am off all medication for hypertension and diabetes. I am physically fit and focused on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I see results and stay motivated. I am involved in aftercare and have no regrets. I experienced no complications and the worst part about the surgery was coming out of the anesthesia. Dr A is a true professional and his entire team including office staff is always willing to help in any way shape or form that they need to. I am extremely happy with my choice. I don't think I could have found a more well rounded WLS program.
Dr. Adeyeri is an excellent doctor. He is very knowledgeable about the surgeries he performs and the causes of obesity. He was very caring during office visits and encouraging of questions. The day of my surgery at CentraState went smoothly with no post-op complications. I was very impressed that Dr. Adeyeri attends the support groups he advocates. I'm very happy that I found Dr. Adeyeri.
Dr. Adeyeri and his staff are the best. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Before the surgery, I was well on my way to multible, weight related diseases. Now, to quote a song from the 80's, my future is so bright I got to wear shades. I want to thank Dr. Adeyeri, his staff, and the surgical staff at Centra State Hospital in Freehold for giving me my life back.
