Pacific Bariatric Surgical Medical Group, Inc. Bariatric Center
Dr. Rumsey works out of Pacific Bariatric in San Diego California. He is a wonderful man and was very open to answer all the questions I had about the surgery. I recommend him very highly.
Wow, what a great guy... Met with him on 4/9 said I was a "perfect" canidate.. answered my questions along with my wifes.
Interacted VERY WELL with my ENTIRE family!!
Dr. Zorn is great. He explained everything in detail, and I will highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great surgeon. The staff at Pacific Bariatric is wonderful, they take you through all the steps with hardly any effort on your part. I also like the fact that the medical group offers support groups and continued care after surgery. I would rate Pacific Bariatric as a 10!!
My first impression of Dr. Zorn was that he was a caring person. He was running late (1hr.) and he was very apologetic. He was very informative and he also made my husband feel comfortable while he was talking to us and telling us what the procedure was going to be. The staff need a little modification on their manners, but I guess they were a little bit up tight because they had an office full of people and the Dr's were late. But, I guess at the end the staff was pretty good. He really wants everyone to join a support group and to follow the instructions carefully. He said if I follow I would do great. I greatly recomend Dr. Zorn.
My surgeon was from PBSMG, Dr. Rumsey. He is kind and my surgery went without any complications. My pain was minimal, and my scar is healing really nicely. He did a terrific job. Surgery was 2pm Thu, and I was able to go home at 1pm Sat. I researched this medical group, and all the surgeons are excellent, and care about what they are doing. Really terrific, didn't have any negative experience, so just reporting the facts.
I would rate my doctor a 10, being way up there! And his group a high 8. They explained the procedure, they went over the risks, the staff is freindly and empathetic to our needs, they want to help, and they have excellent after surgery support groups and programs. Plus a nutrition guide book. They give you all the tools the rest depends on YOU, and you can count on yourself, right?
lrn was very open, and professional. He was able to answer all my questions and I felt very comfortable with him, enen after only meeting with him one time. Pacific Bariatreics offer such friedly services. They answer calls and process information in a professional manner and there are never any long delays between asking questions and receiving answers. There is no structured aftercare program in the San Jose area, which is the only drawback to having the surgery away from home.
Dr Zorn was very friendly, readily answered all questions, discussing risk/benefits of surgery. The support staff at Pacific Bariatrics in San Diego was very helpful. returned calls in a timely manner and were very informed about what I needed to do,etc.
I live in No Cal, and my aftercare will be handled by Kaiser but I will return there for my yearly check up.The only negative is that they need to work on establishing consistent support group meetings in the No Ca area.
Aftercare was emphasized as well as what I needed to do tp get ready for the surgery, IS starting protein supplements, vitamins C.b-12,multivitamins with minerals. Also instruced to begin exercizing( for me walking back and forth in heated poos for 45 min yto help get ready for surgery.
Dr. Zorn was very good. He made me feel very at ease, and He was very re-assuring. The female Dr. who assisted him, I think it's Dr. Mary Murphy was also great. I never met her until the morning after surgery, but each visit from her made me feel comfortable and confident.
About the nurses, they were fine. I had no problemems except that it took quite a while at night to get there attention. Also, if one attempts to take your blood pressure on top of your IV, make them do it elswhere. :)
