I knew that I was in good hands from the time of my initial consult with Dr. Kemmeter. He is really soft spoken and sweet and he makes sure you know EVERYTHING you need to know. I was very grateful that I had the honor of him perfroming my surgery. All of the office staff are awesome. All of my experiences with them have been pleasant. Nurse Bernie is really wonderful!! I honestly cannot say that I have found anyhting negative to say about anyone that I have seen at MMPC. Overall I have had an exceptionally pleasing experience.

professional talks straight with straight answers if asked

didn't

some of the most efficent professional people I have ever dealt with - totally supportive

lack of direct contact with him but understandable

ask the questions and he will answer you
tell him truthfully how you feel and you won't regret it

nothing to compare him with - never had an operation before - staff stresses that any questions or problems should be brought up and they don't seem to think anything isn't important

absolutely to the extent of almost mechanical

strongly - stated it was a very serious operation with many possible complications

right now very well - just had the operation 2 days ago

surgical competence - see me in 2 years
bedside manner - pleasant and concerned

Dr. Foote is a very educated & compassionate surgeon. The entire staff at MMPC pleasantly surprised me. Everyone was so kind and extremely helpful. It made my three-hour drives worth every penny. It's not often to find experience & education mixed with wholehearted encouragement. I felt as though I had been visiting their office for years. Dr. Foote explained in detail all risks and advantages of surgery. He is adamant on aftercare, which I'm grateful for as I feel it's an important asset towards success. I would highly recommend Dr. Foote and the entire staff at MMPC to anyone considering this surgery. Although the process may take longer than anticipated for some, it is totally worth the wait. I'd rather go through a longer process than be treated like cattle. Patience really is a virtue.

I thought that he was very pleasant, informative, and did not make me feel stupid for my endless questions. He is very young but has an impressive history with the surgery. Two of my friends also used him and I have heard nothing but wonderful things about him.

The office is a little slow to call you back as they are very busy. And sometimes as you see so many differant providers that handle your case it seems as if it is hard to keep your case on track and the same in everyones mind. I did receive conflicting advice regarding my medications but that was quickly straightned out.

Their after care program is very structured and from hearing about it from others seems excellent. They strongly encourage attendance but my distance from the office prevents me from attending.

Very personable and friendly was easy to talk to and ask questions. Listened to both my wife's and my questions without making us feel rushed.

Aftercare is exceptionally important to Dr. Foote. He encourages us to come to MMPC but, if distance is a consideration then he is in contact with the primary care physician.

My surgery went very well and there was less pain then i anticipated.

June 8, 2004 I had surgery. Dr. Baker did it in record time and I feel great! I would feel safe recommending him to anyone. He is very pleasant to talk to and an excellent doctor now that is unique thing! I can't say enough about how it feels to be given a chance to start my life again. I'm sure he hears it all the time but the feeling is awsome.

I met Dr. Baker Monday morning. He was very nice. I felt very comfortable talking to him. I felt like he totally understood how futile it feels to try to diet to someone who has spent their whole life dealing with this. He was very straight forward about the surgery itself. He asked me if I had questions and then answered each one. I never felt hurried, it was very relaxed. After meeting him and knowing his reputation I feel very safe and confident he'll do a great job.
The Office staff was very nice. I was early for my appointment and I got in and out before my appointment time. Someone in that office knows how to schedual!
Everyone from insurance to schedualing and the front desk have been very helpful.
MMPC has a great aftercare program and support groups all over so I'm sure I'll find one local.
He was up front about the risks and the benifits of the surgery.

I have met with Dr. Foote 2 times so far. The first time was at orientation, and he did a very good job of explaining the surgery and was more than willing to answer the questions of all the potential patients in the crowd. The 2nd time I met Dr. Foote was at my initial physical where he explained the surgery once again, and took a great deal of time to explain everything to me. Even though he is young, he really impresses me as someone that knows he stuff. At no time did he make me feel bad about my weight like so many other doctors do.

I felt comfortable talking to him. He seems very thorough and understanding.

Office Staff is busy but helpful. I haven't seen the dietician yet but called her today about an allergy I have. She checked all the before and after surgery food products for this food and called me back to tell me which products it is in. She was very pleasant.

I didn't dislike anything about him.

I haven't gotten far enough yet to know if he emphasizes aftercare.

He told my husband (who is having the surgery also) and me any risks there might be.

Very nice, kind and competant.

Surgical competence is definitely most important but bedside manner help so much as I seem to be able to pick up on any indifference or unkindness in people.

My first impression is that Dr Foote is young. He seemed very personable and knowledgeable at the surgical orientation. When I met him in person, he explained the surgery and risks in an easy-to-understand manner. He didn't seem like he was in a hurry and answered a couple of questions I had. I never felt judged or like he was uncomfortable talking to me.

The office staff at the front desk needs to be more attentive to people when they first arrive. I stood at the reception desk for a couple of minutes before my first appt without being addressed in any way while 4-5 people chit-chatted about personal things. It was only after I had given up and started to walk away that I was spoken to. All people need to be addressed upon arrival and personal/unprofessional discussions need to be stopped in the presence of a customer (patient).

The program, including orientation, seems to be well put together. After care is stressed a great deal. This is addressed in orientation, in clinic literature, and in discussions with the behaviorist and surgeon.

I have not been operated on yet, so I cannot address an overall rating or surgical competence. His bedside manner seems to be appropriate--reasonably concerned and compassionate.
