Dr. Baker (MMPC) was very nice, very caring and he explained everything thoroughly. I am convinced I picked the right Doc!

Dr.Kemmeter is hosest and stright forward to a fautl. He left nonthing unanswered he take time and he care for his patients.
The staff at MMPC are the best always friendly smiling and polite. He will tell you that he is giving you a tool to weight lost,you have to work at it to keep what he gives. over all I am Bless that God saw fit that I have a Christain Man to do my surgery,not only am I in his hands but his hands will guild Dr. Kemmeter also so I will be twice Blessed

DR.KEMMETER CAME HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY MY FRIEND WHOM HAS HAD HER WLS.I MET DR.KEMMETER
HE IS A WARM AND UNDERSTANDING PERSON. HE DIDN'T CRITIZE ME FOR BEING IN THIS UNHEALTHY POSITION THAT I AM IN. VERY INFORMITIVE AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME TO MY SATISFACTION. I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH MMPCS CONCERN ABOUT MY TOTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS ASIDE FROM WLS. THEY CHECK EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR HEALTH. A WEEK PRIOR TO SURGERY ALSO. I FEEL VERY INFORMED ABOUT HAVING WLS.ALSO, I WON'T NEED TO SHOP FOR FOOD FOR AT LEAST 4 WEEKS. THATS A REQUIREMENT TO GET WLS.PRIORITIES,PRIORITIES.
I HIGHLY RECOMEND MMPC FOR WLS.

My first impression of Dr Kemmeter was that he was very intelligent and very concerned with communicating the both the benefits and the risks of RNY. The office staff is very pleasant and very helpful, easy to deal with over the phone. Before I had a surgery date scheduled, I needed to speak w/ a nurse and got a very prompt return phone call to answer my question. There isn't anything I don't like about MMPC so far. Future patients should be aware they are very thorough in making sure that patient who need diagnostic testing get it (i.e. sleep study for sleep apnea, EKG, LOTS of blood work, etc.) They have a very structured aftercare program with 2, 4, and 6 week visits with the Surgeon or PA, the dietician and Internist, and also a behavioral group visit. Later post op visits include exercise physiologist, dietician, etc. MMPC has a small booklet that explains in detail each risk of surgery and Dr Kemmeter also disclosed their rates of complication before I asked for them. The one thing I am unhappy with is only seeing the surgeon for an initial appointment and then not seeing him again until the day of surgery. Also, another negative was having to wait 10-14 days for test results to be transcribed before they are available. However, from my initial orientation to my surgery date will be 9-10 weeks.

I WAS IMPRESSESD FROM THE BEGINNING. HE AND HIS STAFF TREATED ME WITH RESPECT. MY OPINION HAS NOT CHANGED A BIT AND HIS STAFF GREETS ME WITH A SMILE EVERY TIME I GO THERE.
I WENT TO GRAND RAPIDS BECAUSE PATIENTS FROM MY PRIMARY DOCTORS OFFICE HAD GONE THERE AND WERE VERY PLEASED. DR FOOTE AND HIS STAFF INSIST ON A LOT OF BEFORE CARE AND AFTERCARE AND THEY ARE ONLY A PHONE CALL AWAY. YES THE AFETRCARE IS STRUCTURED. YOU HAVE APPOINTMENTS AT 2-4-6 WEEKS 3-6 MONTHS AFTER AND A COUPLE MORE. YOU MEET WITH A PHSYCOLOGIST AND DIETIANS. I WOULD RECOMMEND DR FOOTE AND THE DOCTORS HE WORKS WITH TO ANYONE. HE REALLY CARES ABOUT YOU. MY ONLY PROBLEM WAS THE DRIVE BACK AND FORTH TO GRAND RAPIDS BUT THEY DID EVERTHING THEY COULD DO TO SHEDULE ME TWO APPOINTMENTS AT EACH VISIT TO CUT DOWN ON MY TRIPS.

From the very beginning Dr. Baker has shown he is a very caring Dr. He was easy to talk to and even though my appointment got started late he answered all of my questions. In the hospital I felt very well cared for and saw Dr. Baker before and after surgery. I felt as if I were in very good hands at all time. His staff was equally as caring and attentive.

My 1st impression was fine. Office people are great. No change on imperssion. Explained all phazes of the surgery and risks etc along with the pros, cons, coulda or wouldas too.Care after surgery was adequete. Surgical talent and bedside manners were fine.

I liked Dr. Kemmeter right away. He was the surgeon at the orientation held by MMPC.
He was very straightforward about all the risks and requirements of the surgery. I was fortunate to make my first appointment with him and liked him even more afterward. He is very caring and understood immediately the life I had lived as a loser and a gainer. My surgery is scheduled for Aug. 10th so I'll be able to let you know even more after that.

I felt very comfortable with DR. Baker.right from the start. He is the best choice for me,
Surgery day, when he came into the holding room, I felt even better, Just his presents made me feel safe, And my family agreed with me,
I'm so happy, and will tell others about him.

I love Dr. Baker! Hi is a family man and a wonderful surgeon! The staff at MMPC are also very friendly, with an exception here and there which I consider minor, it's a wonderful practice.

On a scale from 1-10 Dr Baker and the MMPC staff are absolutely 10's!
