I really liked my surgen. He was very in formative the first time I met him and was very serious about the whole aspect of the surgery. His staff was very pleasent and although at times I got frustrated because I always didnt get to speak with a live person when I called the experience overall was good. He expects you to recieve aftercare for the rest of your life and they have a team or doctors and nutrtionist that work very close with Dr. Bauman and his patients.

Dr. Gersin and his staff were awesome. Even though Dr. Gersin had to leave town for a seminar the day after my surgery his parter Dr. Kuwada and Dr. Chen were awesome during the recovery phase. Dr. Gersin is easy to deal with. He is straight to the point and very easy to understand. He does not dumb things down nor does he try and speak over your head. I am 4 days out of my surgery and despite being a little sore I feel great. rnrnThe whole practice was great. Nothing negative to report.

His whole career in the 2000's has focused on WLS. I feel like he is a true expert in this field, not just competent. I did my research and looked at his statistics. Most doctor's don't post their complication rates for the world to access easily but he does. He has nothing to hide. He is very clear on his expectations of patients and why he expects it. The office staff is professional and you can tell they enjoy their jobs. The practice seems to be a well-oiled, caring machine. Researching and choosing your surgeon is the single most important decision to make and I feel confident about my choice of Dr. Bauman. We are fortunate in our area to have someone so excellent.

Dr. Bauman is a straight up to the point dude! He means what he says and says what he means! He is concerned about his patients and serious about the business he is in. It is not his intention to \"Quick Fix\" anyone and that is made clear from the start. He has a good sense of humor and a great bedside manner!

Dr. Kuwada is GREAT!! I really think he is pleasant and has great mannerism. Working with overweight patients he seemed very empathetic and humble. Which to me contrasted one of his staff nurses. I almost went to another doctor because of his Nurse Nazi as I call her.. to me she is rude and judgemental.... but since Dr. Kuwada is very knowledgable and easy going, the experience was Great! His assistant/resident, Dr. Chen was awesome, too.. I have already recommended Dr. Kuwada to my sister and she is looking to have the LAP BAND procedure instead of the bypass....

Can't say enough good things about Dr. Bauman and his staff! I had visited with another surgeon in the area and did not feel like we established any rapport. But Dr. Bauman expressed a genuine interest in me, why I wanted surgery, my history and how I came to be in his office. His attitude is reflected throughout the office and everyone I spoke with was warm, friendly and interested in addressing any needs or concerns my wife or I had.rnrnDr. Bauman might come off as being a little stern when you first meet him but give him a few minutes and he warms up. I realized about five minutes in that he was evaluating me very carefully to make sure I was informed, had read the materials provided and was ready to make a comittment. So he had some tough, searching questions for me. There's a reason he's got such a good track record and I think a big part of it is this evaluation of each patient's needs and readiness.rnrnI especially like the aftercare program. They follow up with you for a year, all of which is included in the surgery fee. The nutritionists gave me easy-to-follow guidelines and referred me to several places where I could shop for supplements and supplies. I travel a lot so I had many questions about eating \"on the road\" and they showed me how I could manage it easily.rnrnOne of the coolest things that Dr. Bauman's office did..was to refer me here!

Dr. Bauman is great! He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He explains everything in detail and his office staff is great. I recently had a surgery with DR. Pirrello and I was just as impressed with him. I chose Carolina Weight Loss Surgery because of the success rate and very low complication rate of the Dr's. I think I made an excellent choice! I wish they could be my family DR's.

He was awesome the first time I met him. I feel very comfortable in his care. I should be meeting with him again soon. I really like how he does the weight management program.

when I first went to the surgery center everyone I encountered was so nice and genuine. Dr. Kuwada was on time and very informative and spent a great deal of time with me to make sure I understood the whole process of WLS. After I got my date for surgery I again met with him and continued to be impressed with his expertise and very caring manner. The night before my surgery he called m(Sunday) personally and asked if I had any questions and if I was ready for the \"big day\". All through my hospital stay he was very attentive and took very good care of me. I developed a peritoneal leak and was placed in ICU for a couple of days during which time he saw to all my needs and showed so much concern and compassion for me and my family who understandably were very anxious. I would recommend him to everyone. The center is a center of excellence and the resulting support group is phenomenal........

This has sure been a long process and I have not even had surgery. I have done alot of work checking out the surgeons in my area and I have chosen Dr. Bauman. I do not know how you could get a better surgeon. He is very, very detailed. He has had me read, watch video's etc so that I would know alot about the proceedure and life afterwards. He has done alot of these surgeries and you can tell he has put alot of thought and study into his practice. He has a great sense of humor and is quite down to earth. He is very easy and more than willing to answer any question or concern. He does get real serious about looseing weight before your surgery and I got the \"big lecture\" which is not his best side but I know he has my best interest at heart. I am excited about moving on and having my life back!! Also his office and office staff are wonderful, pleasant office and the staff are very calm and pleasant. I will have a very structured aftercare program and I know I will have the support I need.
