Congratulation John, on being on the losing side of life. I am sure that the first few days after surgery are no fun at all, but they must be worth it to get us all looking and feeling so much better. You hang in there and rest, rest, rest! Can't wait til I can join you on the other side.

This is me! I really do feel human again. I just wanted to thank everyone who called, prayed, sent emails, posted notes or sent flowers. It means the world to me that others care. Thanks again! So far, so good! The day after surgery is a real rascal and if you had thought about coming here to support me, be glad you didn't. Yesterday was a much better day and today is going along well. I have no problem walking up and down the hallways. Even the 1 oz of water every 2 hours is a good thing. I am moving onto broths today as I transition over to solids. I will try to keep you up to date over the next few days. No promises, as I am a bit tired.

It was good to talk to you John. It sounds like you are doing great. Three more days and you can go home. Your weight loss is going to be great. I'm proud of you and look forward to hearing from you once you get home!

This is an "angel update"!! I talked to John around 2:30pm today. He sounded 90% better than yesterday. He said he felt much better and had very little pain today. Yesterday was definately a tough day for him, but today, his mood seemed very up beat. He is down 10 lbs already!! ...On a side note, I opened an account for myself to obtain info for my mom (whose doctor has told her she should consider surgery at this point). God works in mysterious ways:) Up until 3 weeks ago, I would have talked her out of it, but due to this wonderful web site, I am much more educated and can offer her good advise.
