Question:
Has anyone had reconstructive surgery and medicaid covered it?

Hi! Im now down 130 lbs and need to start searching for a plastic surgeon who can recontruct most of me! Has anyone had medicaid of Illinois and had them pay for thier recontructive surgeries? Thanks! Vicki    — Vicki R. (posted on October 4, 2004)

I do not know how different ky is from IL but it paid for mine I also had to have hernia repair at same time and dr had it wrote up some way so it was covered Take Care Huggs Beth

I have Medicaid (Vermont) and Medicare- I was told (with both) so long as the Dr. says it is medically necessary, it will be covered. I had my WLS covered and just had a Tummy tuck- I have not had to pay a dime. I am very thankful !

I just had my reconstructive surgery on September 28. I have medicaid in Wisconsin. They pre approved a belt lipectomy and inner thigh lift. It had to be medically necessary. Nancy down 143 lbs.
