I need a few names of protien "liquid" form that I can look into purchasing so I wont have to rely so much on Protien drinks...And a good multi vitamin "liquid" form. Any good working and tasty ones? Thanks! — Vicki R. (posted on November 15, 2002)

I use the Proteinex product advertised here on AMOS. It's a citrus-like
cough syrup. Two tablespoons= 15 grams of protein and it runs around $20
for a 16 oz bottle which usually last me a little over two weeks. Centrum
offers a liquid vitamin. It taste horrbile ..so be prepared!!! :)

Liquid vitamin, I use Body Balance by Lifeforce. It's cherry tasting (a
little bitter). I was using flintstone chewables the first 2 weeks after
surgery and couldn't get any energy. I went back to my Lifeforce and within
2 days energy level was back to normal. Check out there web site at
Lifeforce.com. They also have aminocharge which is a liquid protein. I
haven't tried it yet was going to purchas the proteinex and see how I like
it.

I use the honey-flavor, because it is rather generic tasting. I put it in
the water bottle with a splash of flat diet orange soda, then fill to the
rim with water.

As a registered nurse I highly recommend "Isotonix" brand.
"Isotonix" brand is in powder form and ingested in liquid form
after water is added. Also, just to inform you, "Isotonix" is a
much better quality than your traditional LIQUID vitamin. Traditional
liquid vitamins still must convert to an isotonic state before absorption
can take place. With "Isotonix" brand, it is ALREADY converted
to an isotonic state when water is added. This means that about 90% WILL
BE ABSORBED WITHIN 5 MINUTES!! Tablet form you can only expect 0-20% and
takes about 45 minutes to 4 hours just to break down!! This is a HUGE
difference. Also, "Isotonix" brand does NOT have the nasty taste
of traditional liquids. I actually look forward to drinking them!

I use the Isotonix multi-vitamin and the calcium. They really do taste
good. One is citrisy and the other tastes like orange pop. They are
effervescent so I can't just chug them down unless I let them sit for a
little bit. They sure beat gagging down huge pills or that horrid Centrum
liquid! Good luck to you!

I use a combination of Proteinex and Amino Infusion 5000. Proteinex is a
tart orange flavored liquid that has 15 grams of protein per 2 T. It
works well in Crystal Light or Citris Juice. Amino Infusion 5000 is a
sweet tasting liquid that has 5 grams per tablespoon. You can dilute it or
put it in juice or take them straight. It comes in 3 flavors Raspberry,
Grape and Fruit Punch. I just couldn't handle the milk based protein
items, so these were a great fit for me.
