Question:
How do we add powdered milk?

Okay my doctor gave me a diet plan to look at~at my first consultation. It says to add powdered milk to my applesauce, puddings, and soups, protien drinks(that have water). So is that diluted or just added in an already made food item?It only makes it thicker or creamier right? Thanks in advance! Vicki    — Vicki R. (posted on September 5, 2002)

Hi Vicki, I also use powdered milk when I make my carnation instant breakfast drink. I just put a couple of tablespoons in the blender with my skim milk. And for something yummy, I add a bit of fat free cool whip and blend that with the cib.

Sounds kinda gross to me. Have you considered getting 30g of protein at once by making a protein shake? That way, you could enjoy the little bit of food you eat without putting milk powder on it. Just a thought. (I grew up on Carnation Instant and wouldn't touch the stuff now! -- too many carbs, too!)
