Can a tummy tuck be done on an outpatient basis?

Yes it can at a great savings. Talk to your plastic surgeon for details.

Mine is scheduled for April 5th & will be done on what's called a
"short stay" basis. I will stay overnight in the hospital &
leave in the morning. My insurance co actually approved a 23 hour stay. The
way I understand it, I won't ever be admitted to a real room, but will stay
in "observation" til I am discharged. Guess that's assuming
everything goes as planned.

A friend of mine had an abdominoplasty and liposuction done at an
outpatient surgery center in September. She was under general anesthesia
for about 4 hours and she said she didn't have any problems from it. I
plan on doing the same thing in September.
