Have you ever heard of Dr. Georgitis doing tummy tucks? As far as I know, he is a general surgeon and is not able to do that type of procedure, as it falls under the "plastic surgery" catagory. Check with him and see if he could recommend someone to you. I know Plastic and Hand in Portland, deals with that type of surgery. Hope this helps

any surgeon is allowed to do any surgery. Your best bet is to find out how many he has done, see before and after pics, ask to talk to former patients. If he is good he will have patients willing to talk to you and pics available. If you ever feel uncomfortable or unsure in any way don't let him do it. It is a lot easier (and cheaper) to have it right the first time than to go back and fix a bad job.

When I need my car repaired, I take it to a place specializing in the car that needs fixing. Small things are fine, but when I need major work done, I dont take the Benz to the place that specializes in fixing Lexus's. Same with surgeons; each surgeon has something that they are very good at and the more they do, the better the results. Which is why there are gastric bypass surgeons, brain surgeons, and plastic surgeons. Of the plastic surgeons, some do great nose jobs, some specialize in breast implants, some have a new specialty of body reconstruction after gastric bypass weight loss. I wouldnt go to a orthapedic foot surgeon for my gastric bypass surgery, I wouldnt go to a plastic surgeon for gastric bypass, and I wouldnt go to my gastric bypass surgeon for plastic surgery! Get a plastic surgeon for plastic surgery.
