Question:
Should I take my Isopure Zero Carb with me to the hospital and start drinking it ?
How soon could I start drinking the kool-aid type/clear protein supplements- immediately post-op? Should I take them while in the hospital in addition to the clear liquid diet that the hospital gives us? Is there any reason why they would irritate the pouch? Thanks for any info. — Rebecca T. I would only take what they give you in the hospital to drink.

Rebecca, Don't worry, the hospital will provide you with what you need as
per Doctors orders. You will not be allowed to use anything you bring to
the Hospital, so just leave it at home.

I ended up staying in the hospital for 12 days (due to post-op pneumonia)
and I was very glad that I'd brought my own supply of food and protein
powder. I mixed my Pro-Cel protein powder into everything I ate (yogurt,
applesauce, etc.). If I had relied on the hospital to take care of me, I
would have received very little nutrition during those two weeks. If you
like the Zero Carb stuff (I couldn't stomach it), I would bring it along
and then ask your surgeon if/when it's okay to drink it. Be forewarned,
though... what tastes good to you before surgery may taste terrible to you
after (I think it's mainly because of the antibiotics and other meds you're
on for a while). Best of luck!
