Question:
calcium
I would like to know if anyone has use liquid coral calcium with 72 essential minerals? I have started it and it tastes so good. It resembles a orange creamsickle. Hopefully it will be ok. — shari B. (posted on September 8, 2003)

I don't know about the 72 essential vitamins, but coral calcium is a form
of calcium carbonate, which it appears we probably do not absorb well. I
would not take a chance on it. Switch to a calcium citrate.

I DRINK LIQUID CALCIUM CITRATE THAT YOU CAN BUY AT A HEALTH FOOD STORE. I
MIX IT WITH PINEAPPLE JUICE AND IT TASTES REALLY GREAT. I JUST RECEIVED MY
BLOOD WORK BACK TODAY, AND MY CALCIUM WAS EXCELLENT.

Just a couple of notes: Calcium citrate is the most absorbable form for
RNYers. ALSO please remember that the blood-level test for calcium will not
show a problem until things are very far gone. Your body will leach the
calcium from your bones to keep the blood levels stable. To determine
whether you are having a problem with calcium, you'll need a bone density
scan. If you can, it is great to get a baseline done before or soon after
surgery so you can see if there is any degradation towards osteoporosis.

yep, calcium citrate is what we need, does not matter if calcuim carbonte
tastes like milk choclate, it does not absorb well in a rny person, switch,
your bones will be happy for you! the vitamens you cna get from other
sources!
