Like water through a strainer. It goes straight through.

I like to think of the pouch like a funnel. Liquids go through fairly
quickly, the thicker stuff takes longer and "too" thick will
clog.

Mine doesn't go straight thru I guess. When I drink too fast, I can feel
the water backing up so to speak. It takes a few minutes for it to work
it's way down. Sometimes I can hear it bubbling like a stopped up toilet.
Nice huh? Kimberly (3 months post op Lap-Rny...minus 51 pounds)

I was 3 months on X-mas day, Mine has always went straight through, except
if I drink a few drinks and then lie down, it will feel like it is comming
up a little......lol

the other poster, I can hear the water running into my intestines. kinda
weird.
