Question:
What other med. does any of you take with wellbutrin for OCD?
After surgery my doc took me off paxil and put me on wellbutirn but I am back to worrying about everything to the point of no sleep and sometimes I just wish my mind would shut up. I think I may need to take something else. Is there anyone out there with the same problem. The wellbutrin is working well on my depression. — Oldsoul (posted on July 21, 2003)

Try Celexa. I was diagnosed with OCD some years back and have been on it
ever since. I swear by it. Thanks, Melony Halliburton Lap RNY 04-29-03

Why did they take you off it if it was working? I've been on Paxil for
years and it helps my depression and OCD tremendously. I initially was on
Prozac and that did really well too, but I had to be on a really high dose.
After my son was born it just didn't seem to work anymore. It seems like
Wellbutrin must not work on the OCD and you definitely should get something
done about it.

Original poster here....my family doc took me off because I have been on it
for 5 years....???....wellbutrin is just no t getting it for me....thank
you to everyone that has e-mail me... believe me sometimes you get wuicker
answers here than several visits to the doc and you all can give experience
based answers even though you have to follow your docs orders it sometimes
help to have some insight to what others are going through and you don't
have to feel so alone.

Hi there! I have worked in the mental health field for 9 years and know
that Prozac is a big one for OCD. It also helps with depression as well.
Ask a psychiatist or a psychologist instead of a PCP. Though they mean
well, it is not their specialty. Good Luck!
