Question:
How long should it take for vitamins/minerals/medications to dissolve in water?
I've read about testing our meds/vitamins by dissolving them in water but I want to know what the exact time frame is. I've seen ranges from 5 minutes to 20 minutes. What is the difference in time range? My understanding is that pills stay in the pouch for only 20 minutes and since there is no stomach acid to dissolve them, they must dissolve on their own...hence the water test. I am looking for documentation to support this from either a doctor's website or another site with "proof." Thanks everyone! Kate www.geocities.com/katebme2002 — jkb (posted on March 19, 2003)

You can test empty capsule in your mouth. Just wait. EVerything I Have
dissolve sin less than 4 min. To taste tablets, I use saliva-water. Just
water alone is not valid.
