Question:
2 month post-op- Does my daily eating look ok?
I am 2 months post-op LAP RNY and so far have lost 47 pounds. I was just wondering if what I eat daily looked ok to you more experienced post-ops. i just want to make sure I am doing everything right and not eating the wrong things!
MORNING:soft boiled egg or 3/4 egg with some cheese.
MIDDAY:NSA carnation instant breakfast or 1cup skim milk (my surgeon said its ok to drink milk it even though it has sugar in it)
AFTERNOON:1/2 grilled cheese (using 1 slice potato bread) or chicken or 2 saltines with lowfat PNB.
DINNER:grilled fish or grilled chicken or 1-2oz cheeseburger with veggies.
AFTER DINNER:yogurt smoothie made with vanilla yogurt, strawberries, TBSP LF coolwhip and ice.
I always get atleast 80 ounces of water in and 65 grams of protein. Does this look ok? Any suggestions are appreciated! THANKS :) — Lezlie Y. (posted on July 31, 2002)

You're getting in the recommended amount of protein, light on the carbs and
your weight loss is terrific. 'Nuff said?

Lezlie, it looks good. Good protein, good amounts, low in carbs. If you
want to up the protein some, try adding some protein powder to the yogurt
smoothie. Your doing great!
