Question:
Can anyone suggest some way to cook without using any oils?
I have been trying to cook lately and no matter what I try as far as oils, comes right back up!! I have used extra virgin olive oils and sprays (different flavors). I have even tried to steam my fish and garden burgers but they don't take good! Any help, suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I have a bunch of fish and can't do a thing with it! Do you have a George Foreman grill. I grill almost all the meat and fish I
eat. The only food that hasn't done well for me is a roast I cooked in the
oven. I can tolerate grilled fish, pork, chicken and steak with no
problems. And the good thing is that all the grease drains off. Ir you
have an outside grill, that works too. I also grill veggies such as
zuchinni and yellow squash and onion.
Hope this helps you some.

I have to agree with Patty. I just LOVE my Foreman Grill. For the holidays
this year I got 2 Blender Wands, of course one went back. I love my wand
too. I can do so much with it. From sugar free pudding to my protein powder
shakes, it truly is a wonderful kitchen "must have". You could
also season your meats and wrap them in foil and bake them, then there is
no need for oil. You could also try to use a little water to help the meats
not stick, sort of like steam frying. Good luck to you.

I totally know what you're going through. Fats and oils don't agree with
me either. I did learn a way to cook all my favorite foods without using
oils. I use Pam and chicken broth or beef broth (depending on the meat I'm
cooking, or the flavor I'm going for). It's really tasty and works quite
well!

hi ...over here in nz we have tinfoil not sure what youd call it there and
we use it all the time.
we just put the fish inside then add lemonjuice and herbs and any chopeed
up veg you want then seal it and it cooks in its own steam and
juices....also you can use bannan plant leaes to cook fish you just roll it
up in them ...the fijians and samoans do.

Let's see, there is poaching, baking, broiling, grilling, boiling...there
are lots of ways to cook without oils. I even 'roast' vegies (yummy!). I
find the lightest oils easiest to digest...that means butter, extra virgin
olive oil, sunflower oil, or canola oil, although I haven't used the latter
two in over 4 years. I pretty much am an olive oil or butter kind of girl
now. Nothing artificial (such as margarine or Crisco-type stuff) for me!
Hope this helps!

My husband uses Pam on a broiler plate or cookie sheet and broils it for
about 10 minutes. He uses lemon pepper, lemon juice, salt & pepper....
We cook pollock. It's HUGE in protein and tastes pretty darn good (and I'm
not a fanatic fish eater).

I cook with my forman grill a lot.. I also use a steamer (a rice steamer
comes in REAL HANDY) with a basket on top.. I can steam vegtables and
meats.. or grill them.. and I dont' have to worry about anything but my
seasonings..

Try I Can't believe its not butter spray. I use it to "fry" my
eggs over easy. It is great, no fat, no Calories.

You may want to try a turbo cooker. I recently bought one and can't get
over it. You can fry foods using water! I mean how cool is that? And
everything turns out really well. Hope this might help!

The Ronco rotisarary?? You set it and forget it just like the commercial
says. I would ask around work I bet SOMEONE has one of the recommendations
given to you. Ask to borrow one of them.
