Question:
Kaiser - Will Kaiser pay for Plastic surgery?

I've asked this before, but have never gotten a response. Does anyone know if KAISER (in California) will pay for PS. I'm thinking breast lift or reduction when I reach goal weight. Can anyone give me an answer??? Thanks!    — careywatkins (posted on September 5, 2001)

I have had a breast reduction in the past. Generally a breast reduction is an approved procedure because it is indicated because the weight of the breast causes back and neck pain. I would take this approach. My daughter was a Kaiser (VA) patient and discussing this with her doctor.

I have inquired about this also. As far as I could understand, they will only pay for a TT if it is medically necessary and well documented as such. They do not pay for plastic surgery just because we don't like the hanging skin. They require documentation such as rashes and things like that. Hope this helps some....
