Question:
I am confused about my revision.
My stomach was transected with my proximal RNY and with my revision to a distal (with some other things), my pouch/stomach will not be touched. I am wondering why then I am going to need to follow the same type of post op diet, with clear liquids, full liquids etc. Just curious and will be asking my surgeon during my final visit pre-op but wondered if anyone else who had undergone a revision might know. — Joanne M. As with any surgery, you need to follow the post op diet because your
insides need to heal. Remember you are being put to sleep which shuts down
your body. Your body needs to slowly come to life again, which is the
reason for the post op diet. Hope this helps.
