Question:
What about sugar in vitamins?

I just purchased some grocery store brand childrens vitamins...they have all kinds of good nutrients in them. After I got them home, I was looking at the ingrediants...and the first thing listed is Sugar. Are their childrens vitamins that don't have sugar, or is the amount of sugar so insignificant that it won't make you dump??? Thanks.    — thekatinthehat (posted on November 10, 2002)

Hi, I am still preop but I do know there are Sugar Free kids vitamens ... My 6 yr old and I both take Sugar Free bugs bunny complete vitamens. We like them.

My surgeon told me to take Flinstones Complete chewable childrens vitamins because they don't have sugar. His recommendation is 2/day. I've found if I take 2 different colored/flavored ones instead of 2 the same, they aren't quite as "shocking" to the taste buds!

Thanks to AMOS reading - I tried Bugs Bunny - taste not as "strong" as Flintstones.

My surgeon mentioned that the sugar content in the Chewables is so insignificant that their is no need to worry.
