Question:
Is it EVER covered by insurance?
Has anyone had plastic surgery after reaching their target weight & the insurance company covered it? If so, what criteria do you have to meet? I think it wll be emotionally crippling when I reach my goal & still have to hid my body because of sagging skin... — Anna R. (posted on June 30, 2000)

My ins paid for my TT. It was described as reconstructive surgery. I had
documented my chiropractor visits and dermatologist visits (for the rash),
as well as other things obvious when someone points them out. Email me
privately and I can send hunks of the letter used. [email protected]

Someone told me that TriCare Prime will approve reconstructive
abonominalplasty only after one year of surgery or have medical problems
due to the "apron" or sag. Musy have sores, or severe rash
causing pain. Good-luck just check out your ins. manual or call your
provider.
